Can You tell me exactly in plain terms how to run this miner? I have it plugged in and for some reason my graphics card is mining and not the Sapphire miner vendettaDTN@gmailcom Comment from : Vendetta DTN |
Hi, I got 10 of these setup Does yours make a sound in windows when a device/usb gets unplugged and reconnected constantly? Not sure if thi sis normal Comment from : BoringGuy |
Yeah sure, but if you're just running one USB, there's really no sense in cooling it with a huge fan Actually, if you're just running 1 USB, there's really no sense in running it at all at this point in the game Just save it like a baseball card Comment from : joae1975 |
Would a normal oscillating fan work for cooling these things? Cuz I'm just hoping to get one, and I can easily place one of these oscillating fans near my computer aimed at these things Comment from : ElectricCake |
Thanks! I have been asking people and all people have been telling me is "use this miner"
Thanks for giving me an answer I have one more question
Where would I find the drivers for guiminer and this asic? Comment from : Chris |
Yeah, it'll work, but it uses more electricity than other programs I would avoid it Comment from : joae1975 |
Does this work with Guiminer? Comment from : Chris |
Thanks for this! Comment from : TucksMcGucks |

See the thread link in description Comment from : joae1975 |

To your question, the mining pools have no way to know what your actual hashrate is They estimate it based on number of shares you submit Since the number of shares fluctuates overtime, you will see miner speed as reflected by the pools vary sometimes within +/- 20 of the actual hashrate Comment from : Max Skybin |
Check the forum link I posted above My question was improvisational I didn't really post this with much planning I'm just a dude and his computer just like you I will post more ASIC stuff as I get it and I'll plan more I have 9 erupters I posted that video as soon as I got the first Comment from : joae1975 |
Btw, I've been buying Asicminer fractional shares with my earnings on Havelock Getting BTC dividends, woot! Comment from : joae1975 |
I have 9 When I wrote that I was getting 1 BTC per 15 days Now it's more like 1 per 20 days Comment from : joae1975 |
what does difficulty going up mean? sorry for the noob question Just started with my first usb aisc today
Also, how do you get 1 BTC in 15 days?
if you have 10 thats 00540 a day so it would take roughly 20 days wouldnt it? Comment from : Vandelay Industries |
I bought them when they were expensive and got a few from ebay I'm never going to get ROI You can I have 9 It takes me about 15 days to get 1 BTC So with 20, it should take you about 7 days Therefore, if you spend 1 BTC on each, ROI will take you5 months And with difficulty going way up in Sept, it may be a year before ROI Comment from : joae1975 |
right now 5 and i use bitminters pool i have 15 coming in the mail Comment from : DannysCam |
How many eruptors are you running and what pool do you use? Comment from : joae1975 |
i did but it does not seem to update as fast as it should been using it for 5 days but only made 006 when im suppose to make 003 aday Comment from : DannysCam |
Switch to Bitminter You will be mining in 5 minutes Comment from : almanacaa |
You need to make a bat file Go on the forums for advise, it's much easier there Comment from : joae1975 |

i downed loaded BFG but i never could find the install file lol what do you have to enter to get the usb miners to work on 311? are you editing any files or some thing?
Comment from : DannysCam |
Yeah, I heard the newer versions will require a "reboot" of cgminer Mine actually hicupped today for the first time, not sure why Work fine now Somebody said bfgminer is better I don't know why and never tried it Comment from : joae1975 |
To each his own What would you like to see? Comment from : joae1975 |

eligiusst Comment from : E-TARD The LifeCaster |
Pool always lags & is not your real mining speed, just a guess of what it could be Never go by the pool its BS
Your cgminer miner will always give you your real speed
ps go with bfgminer way better!!! Comment from : E-TARD The LifeCaster |
Units fail, speed was indicated in Mega-Henries per second, sure it wouldn't be Mega-Hertz per second because the Hertz isn't abbreviated correctly and the units would be s^-2 (Jesus am I this nerdy?!!) Comment from : Nathan Atkins |
One thing about p2p, you can't really see your balance Or am I not looking in the right place At btcmp you can see what your worker is doing How often does p2p pay? Is there an FAQ? THX! Comment from : joae1975 |
check bitmit(dot)net Comment from : joae1975 |
Link to ASIC miner? Comment from : thecope125 |
Use a p2p pool, I like btcmp, they're consistent I've tried btcguild, pretty good Stay on the p2p side if things I'm still trying to learn which pool is best for me Comment from : joae1975 |
Save your money for now In getting about 001 BTC per day Will take 10 months to get ROI @ current difficulty Comment from : joae1975 |
i would off spent my whole last paycheck on this if i know it was there but 2 for me Comment from : shotech1 |
i here it the pool spec that need update Comment from : shotech1 |
Thanks! Any idea which pools give you the most bit for your hash? I'm confused on that front too Comment from : joae1975 |
Imagine you're driving down the road Your speedometer tells you how fast you're going *right now* - this is what cgminer reports If you were to share your GPS coordinates at regular intervals along the drive, someone receiving those coordinates could estimate how fast you were driving for each leg of the trip - this is what your mining pool reports Mining pools can't make instantaneous measurements so they have to estimate hashrate based on shares received over time Comment from : Coding In My Sleep |
Michael, I just searched and searched the boards Experimented, etc I even reformatted my Asus Drop me a PM and we can get on a chat Comment from : joae1975 |
how did you setup cgminer I'm having some issues configing it Comment from : Michael Yenny |
Done Comment from : joae1975 |
post links of where you got the fan and the hub Comment from : blkinvestor |
Thanks bro! Comment from : joae1975 |
The cgminer shows the exact hashrate of you miner while the pool shows an estimation of the miner depending on how many shares are submitted These are great I have 10 and getting 4 more plus I have clusters of GPUs mining as well Comment from : EasyQuest |
