I have a theory why boys lack distinction between sounds, the graph shown in the end Even in the nature, female animals are more choosy when it comes to choose with whom to mate Male birds for example sing songs to attract female, and female choose the best singer or smth And for human species it might be that from early ages females tried to distinguish which male sounds more better or it can be case of listening to a sound of danger or alerts as females usually would be staying near home

This thing with deceiving, have they experimented with people who aren't conversant with the language, can we still tell tone and expression there?brAlternatively, has someone experimented with using TMS to induce temporary aphasia in the interrogator to see if it improves their perception? Or is it a skill they achieve by spending a long time ONLY able to interpret tone This is so interesting!
