I never figure on selling my gold or silver for anything over spot price Safest approach I think and, if I get a little better than that; it's all gravy I try to stick with recognizable stuff; eagles and maples, mostly That said, a dealer recently offered to flip a half-ounce panda and krug for under 2 over melt so I scooped those up and would do again so long as it was something sovereign I was lucky to inherit a few dozen fractionals and, if not for that, I wouldn't own more than a few as the 1oz size has the lesser premium I consider premiums an immediate and permanent loss on the transaction and simply hope that spot rises over time to compensate for it Comment from : Jay Barr |

Good video, you are correct, you should always have an exit strategy I've seen a guy that calls coin stores and asks what they will give for silver eagles over spot, it varies greatly from spot to $9 over My vendor, whom I do not wish to name as that would be spamming, publishes their buy/sell price Today on Gold eagles, selling price 1,83340, buy price 1,77040 So you'll lose $63 on the turn around Premiums are higher on fractionals but not significantly, they've been around over 50 years Also Quarters and Halves only account for 15 of what the mint produces, hence a higher premium 85 are Ounces and tenths I just bought a couple of halves in mint box because I think the rarity will factor in later on when I sellbrbrOne last thought, since we all believe these prices are suppressed and they just printed literally tons of money, buy whatever you can now, be it a car, food, metals, a shiny new gun, whatever you like, everything is on sale NOW, before the inflated prices hit hard Comment from : Stacker 2022 |
|
Why would u buy eagles? They aren't pure 0999 gold even? Plus, people can barter gold for other hard assets in case that can't sell Comment from : Nabi |

I had taken 2 British gold sovereigns to my lcs only to be told "these are not real gold", "it says AU right there, that means it's only silver" I looked at this man in the eyes and was like "that is gold, silver is AG" I had left annoyed, and that shop ended up closing its doors maybe 6 months later I wasn't surprised at all Comment from : CertifiedGenius |

As far back 2011 I was acquiring fractional1/10 eagles of course; maples; Perth products and Mexican Dos Pesos Now, the Dos Pesos were cheap; as far as premiums from my local guy, I did pretty good Now, those tiny coins I paid between $5000-6000 each for, are now "as little as $12000 each" The highest I ever paid was $7000 each And that was quite a while ago I like fractional primarily for "if and when" prices for Gold go obscenely HIGH; If the Gov comes in and rewrites the rules on reporting, or capital gains, and I try and sell FULL ounceswhat would I be looking at upon liquidation ? However, if loaded up with fractional, I can move the gold while staying UNDER most foreseeable reporting or capital gains Anyway, the other guys in my circle didn't agree, but a few are re-thinking my logicespecially because I did 80-90 of my purchases more than 5 years ago, before the premiums went ballistic We all have our strategies, and somewhere down the road we will get together over a beer and discuss who the "lucky" guesser waslololNice post/video, thanks Comment from : AP Gobert |

Hey man, appreciate the video As I’ve gotten old and my income has increased I’ve scaled up what I’ve bought When I first started I was buying 1/10 and 25 grams which I realized now was dumb due to premiums This year I started buying 1/4 but the premiums are still high It’s hard for me to justify spending $2,000 on the 1OZ coin but mad the premiums are insane Comment from : MikeSoReal |
|
Just because the price of medals has gone down doesn’t mean I’m ever going to trade them in for fake Fiat tickets It just means I will buy more of the real stuff for less of the fake stuff Comment from : C-130 |

Currently, all of my gold coins are either AGEs of CGMs I started off with 1-oz coins only but during the past year have bought some 1/2 oz brand 1/4 oz versions of these two types of coins I like the idea of flexibility in selling my coins when the time comes I might not want to sell bran entire oz, so the smaller weight coins are a nice addition to the stack But I probably have enough fractionals now and will be finishing my brgold stack with all 1-oz coins from here on out I agree that the gold Britannias are great looking coins and their premiums are really good too, brso I will be buying some of them soon as well All of them will be in the 1-oz size Comment from : Ed B |

I’m just glad my money went mainly into crypto Even after this bear market I am still up thousands of percent on many of my altcoins and up hundreds of percent on my ether Sure my bitcoin stack isn’t up so much as I got in around 3K but even that has done way better than any money I would have put into any physical metals brbrThrowing my cash into crypto over the last six years has been the best decision I ever made Comment from : MrMonero |

Hi Two-fer! You lost me with the "price aggregator" comment I'm not exactly a newbie to stacking; however, I don't believe I've heard that term used very often regarding PM purchases I read most of the comments but didn't see where you mentioned what you wouldn't say on air Can you whisper into my tin ear what "aggregator" you are using? Thx, and love the show! Comment from : Laudato So |

The reasons I like fractional gold as apposed to full ounces If the government switched to a controlled form of money it would be easier to make a purchase of food, gas, bullets etc with smaller denominations and eliminate the control factor I know that you pay a higher fee for smaller denominations, but that will reflect back at time of sale also Just my opinion Comment from : Steve Collins |
|
Why not buy bars and skip the big premium? Comment from : MrFirstonraceday |

I've sold to JM Bullion more than I've sold to others as they show on their website how much they are paying for most everything They are competitive and provided insured 2-Day shipping label and direct deposit of funds within 48hours of receipt of items If you sent on a Monday, your money should be in your account by Friday I have not purchased too many things from JM Bullion but their buybacks are the easiest and most convenient that I've found Thanks for this video, it was great as always! Sage advice for those who don't have the means to drop the volume of fiat for a full ounce each month We'll stop and hold when 1 oz hits above $2000 an ounce, all in and hold at that point Comment from : Stryker Enterprises LLC |

Gold is the ultimate wealth preservation for generations it should never be sold it should be only used to aquire assets you have to think beyond you as life is short is only so much you xan do for yourself Gold price is garunte to go up limited resource it was $20 bucks it was $35 it was $100 it was $350 it was $850 it was $1000 and now is $2000k for physical not to mention is controlled not free market It was here thousands year's before you it will be here thousands years after you Think about the Gold your holding is been touched by many men before you Comment from : IMUST |

Your videos have inspired me so much My reason for buying gold is for multiple reasons I buy incase the economy collapses for the first reason The second reason is for investment purposes, to buy an Investment property, land, or starting a new business that will help me buy more gold down the road I listened too you and I’m following your strategy because it’s a valuable strategy My moneys better off being in gold than it is better off in the bank I came to my own conclusions about my strategy and it made the most sense to me Thank you man I feel like my D&D characters with all the gold and silver I’m accumulating hahaha Comment from : Thomas Haynes |

Ducat’s gold coin what are your thoughts on them too Comment from : Brandon Kessler |
|
How did you know I’m leaving all my gold to my local pet shelter?????brbrSeriously, though, I actually do have a quite bit of fractional gold so I can sell down a stack in incremental levels (if I ever do sell) brbrThe premium is rough for fractional gold, but, on the bright side, the sell price reflects that slightly, too (Make no mistake, like you said, you need to find a private buyer to get that premium back) brbrThis was an absolutely awesome video Selling concepts might be a bit technical for some, but it’s absolutely imperative in any stacker’s planning even if you don’t ever plan to sell, like me brbrThat animal shelter might bail on my gold after I’m gone, after all… Comment from : Get Irked |
