I recently discovered your channel and am very appreciative of your high quality videos! I’m seriously considering moving most of my cash out of my local brick and mortar bank that pays no interest to a Fidelity Cash Managed Account earning 272 apy It has check writing, ATM, etc Features that are free I’m going to link this account to one of the Fidelity MMA's you mentioned in your video to park short-term money that will be invested in treasuries etc Comment from : Ruth |
Thanks Jennifer I learn so much from your videos I appreciate your charts and other visual aidsbrbrWhere is the list of future topics suggestions to review, provide a comment or add new suggestions?brbrI would like to see a video comparing a regular long term bong (ie 20 or 30 years) to tips bond (20 or 30 years) If it helps with the answer, I was considering purchasing in my Roth IRA and/or HSA account Comment from : Elizabeth H |
Would you consider adding a separate link for the "suggestion box"? Any who- I did have a suggestion that is a bit different but by no means not relevant to any Super Saver! Roth Conversions! I think that is a super topic! Another topic for a video- is pre-retirement planning considerations perhaps a few "key" books to obtain just to get one started Because saving is great but how do strategize to withdraw it afterwards to avoid taxes!!??? Thank you! Comment from : N |
I use Fidelity sweep account Comment from : Bob Corio |
I deal with all 3 companies Unfortunately customer service with 2 of the 3 has deteriorated (I haven't interacted with one as it's newer) Fees matter over time! I'm not liking how high Fidelity's expense ratio is on its core fund when compared to Vanguard's brLove, love, love your videos, Jennifer!!! ❤ Thank you! Comment from : Karla Kerr |

Fidelity told me that I can transfer my existing Traditional IRA Schwab T-bill account directly to a Fidelity Traditional IRA T-bill account without waiting for the maturity date I like the Fidelity platform of having a money market core account (which Schwab does not have) Should I trust Fidelity to be able to transfer the existing Schwab T-bill account to Fidelity without messing up the maturity date? Fidelity said it is done all the time with no problem I would like to do this ASAP (before the maturity date) to make things easier for me, as long as there is no problem doing this Comment from : Ann Mckeighen |
I put money in the Schwab SWVXX, but there are 2 rates One for waiver and one for non waiver Can you explain what a waiver is? Comment from : Aileen Danao |

Thanks for continuing to call out Schwab for their lack of a sweep As a long time customer, I remember when they had one My cash is at Schwab, in SNSXX and SWVXX, depending on whether it’s tax sheltered, and at Fidelity, in SPAXX I believe my investments will be slowly migrating to Fidelity… Comment from : Ann |

Just did a large Rollover to Fidelity IRA and it should be populated Tuesday Any thoughts on what is the safest option for this cash I was thinking 30 day T-Bills for now Don't want to use this particular tax free account for equities with the current market Interested to hear what some of you think are some beneficial positions to take We have been purchasing 30-day t-bills for some time now with good results out of our Fidelity brokerage account Thanks in advance Comment from : Jim Dixon |
I've had funds in TDA and Fidelity for many years, but am now having to transfer all TDA to Schwab I am not totally happy with this, but I do use TDA's Think or Swim platform to day trade every day, so will have to keep some funds in Schwab I opened a roll-over IRA at Schwab and have some of my treasuries there I'm looking forward to checking out their fixed income reporting and planning tools for which TDA is lacking Comment from : Neysa Terry |
In Schwab , it’s good if you are aware of swvxx, thanks to you 😊you can set it to reinvest Comment from : JasonYing |

I am with Schwab My wife and I keep our available cash balances in SWVXX I take advantage of the margin feature to earn interest in my money market fund while also selling cash secured puts It's my way of double dipping for income I also keep the kids 529 money in money markets at Schwab because the risk-free rate of return is so high that equities don't look appealing Comment from : Chris Brown |
this is great information and all but i still have tons of decision paralysis on where to park my cash Comment from : S C |
We have both Fidelity and Schwab and I like both for different reasons Thanks to one of your earlier videos the cash in Schwab is no longer sitting in the cash sweep category! Thank you! Comment from : Kc Waddell |

Anyone have a brokered CD at Schwab that matured last Friday, September 1st and still haven't see the principal posted to their Schwab cash account? Is this normal for a bank to keep the principal past the maturity date? Is this a liquidity problem with the bank or Schwab delaying the posting? Either way the bank or Schwab is earning interest off my money on this long holiday weekend Comment from : A K |
Question: If I buy Schwab SNAXX for 1 million, can I sell, say $600k and still retain 400k in SNAXX 7 day yield rate? What about Fidelity FZDXX (100k minimum investment), and sell 60k, can I retain 40k in FZDXX or will it default me back to core money market, SPAXX? TIA Comment from : Khoa Pham |
Fidelity is my choice! I love the strong performance of Fidelity mutual funds Vanguard's fund choice, cost (eg fees and minimums), performance, website features (eg automatic investing, research, charting ) just doesn't justify for my switch to earn that extra 0203 in MMF In addition, I've moved most of my money that used to be in Schwab to Fidelity over the past year It's very inconvenient to moving cash between MMF and core position within Schwab (eg settlement time) when you need it for trading Comment from : Rally168 |
The highest yielding fund you mentioned at Schwab for both IRA and taxable accounts Comment from : Tim Lowery |

I am on Fidelity I only keep very small amounts or very temporary amounts in my cores (regular and retirement), though what they are paying is not bad I have a separate "bank sweep" account I don't trade from because it is my emergency fund IOW I consider it a savings account The interest is middling as you showed, but it's a lot higher than my local bank where I have my checking TBH, I am not sure if the sweep "savings" account is genuinely less risky than if I just parked the same money in the higher-paying core of my Individual trading account, but that is the assumption I went on Comment from : Rick Clark |
Why bon’t you track other market funds like Marcus or Goldman Sacks? Comment from : Bill McCabe |
Swvxx is my choice Comment from : TDM |
Fidelity does have a prime MM fund FDZXX, which is paying 517 It does have a $50,000 minimum however Comment from : jdgolf499 |
I use Fidelity and currently have about 43 in SPAXX I normally don't like to have that much cash, but I just can't bring myself to buy back in at these market levels So I wait I also have a Vanguard account, but their website is just so clunky, it drives me nuts Although Fidelity's mm rates are a bit lower, I juice the return by selling far out of the money puts So I'm really earning about 75 total on average, though I do have to keep rolling over the puts every month And if the market tanks and the puts are exercised, so be it I've set them at levels where I wouldn't be unhappy buying back in Comment from : Dr Don |
I parked it in Vanguard, in the funds you listed Super easy, carefree and minimal oversight on my part I like seeing monthly interest deposits into my checking account I set it up awhile ago, based upon your previous videos Thank you Comment from : Bigguy 33 |

If one were to sell their house and want to rent for 1-3 years before buying/building, where'd be the best place to story $300K+ ; Ally is very accessible (1 day) as an example but at 425 vs 5 for above; also considering state level of tax impact like TN, SC, NC, etc depending on move location Comment from : Scott |
