I bought my 1st prebuilt from best buy, I typically build my own, but on pc part picker I could not build that prebuild for that cheap I got a 13th gen i7 a 4070 32gb of ddr 5 for 1800$ water cooled and a hyte y40 case It is amazing I did buy a legion pc 1st and that blue screened 7 times before I could get through the out of box exp I returned it and got this ibuypower and it has been so good

Rip out the internal components and put them into a better case, increase the ram(if possible), upgrade to a better GPU down the line(depending on compatibility), and for the love of god check the CPU cooler for the 'remove before installation' sticker I made the mistake of not doing that last bit when I bought a prebuilt a few years ago(my first gaming pc ever), and the CPU died in about two months because the dumbass who assembled the PC didn't remove the fucking sticker and I was too ignorant to check

I got this computer from walmart for like 500 bucks and ive put it in a corsair 4000d and put in vengence pro and betttter cooling, she runs like a champ, maybe overspent but i learned my lesson and now have a good ass xomputer that can run games at 60 fps minimum, normally get 120 on high, mine also doesnt have a gtx it has an asus pheonix 3050 in it

I really want a pc, I have lived my whole life without one and I have only ever had mobile devices for making calls, my family definitely did not see PCs as a priority because we are seriously financially struggling right now, my parents split up not too long ago and it made everything worse, I do not have a lot of entertainment, but I am happy with it, I am lucky to at least have wifi Life is seriously tough right now and I would not mind having one of these, I just want to play pc games because lots of games aren’t mobile compatible I am not even kidding, the only thing keeping me from ending everything is God

I bought my prebuild from electronics express for around 1000 with tax and I got a 3060, an intel core i5 (10th or 11th gen) and 16 gbs of ram and 1 TB of ssd, not bad electronics express

THE SAME MODEL EXACT SAME MODEL TODAY POPPED ON ME, AND TODAY IS MY LAST DAY TO RETURN IT brI only had about 2 weeks with it ,and it only had 8 bad reviews from 128 5 star so I gave it a chance and POP I look inside to see if it was any of the capacitors but none were puffed or no liquid

Here's the problem that a lot of people including me runs into I don't want to build my own PC I simply don't trust myself enough to do it I also don't want to order a custom PC of something like PC redux whatever that website is called Also in my area there's no private PC builders So unfortunately the only option we have is to buy from a big box store And to be fair I've gotten about five PCs in Best buy and they've all been great And as a matter of fact I'm about to upgrade to a 4090 PC from Best buy let's hope for the best lol

After having a laptop for the last 5-7 years I recently just purchased this desktop Keep in mind I play Xbox for my good graphics games and for desktop I only play classic wow, runescape, counterstrike, team fortress, and emulators up to ps2 Basically desktop is where I want to do my nostalgic gaming and schoolwork Is this a good buy for my purposes? I got it at a $400 dollar discount so it totaled around 600ish bucks and now Best Buy is selling at $1100 again I pick it up from the store 3 days after the date of this post

Bought a gaming PC from BB about 10 or so years ago for about $800 Dont recall the specs but I remember it having an integrated graphics card instead of a stand alone But it did the job I miss the old BB Shelves of movies and PC games and consoles Now it sells mostly TVs, phones, and refrigerators Ans instead of going in there on a Saturday having to fight through crowds, there will be maybe 10 or 12 people walking around and not even looking remotely interested in buying anything

My personal experience, some Best Buy employees are not very good at selling a pc because they seem to lack knowledge of what they are selling, hence they sold her something objectively worse than what he could have sold her (like the 3060 machine Linus was talking about) so thats why it is best to still do your own research or bring/ask someone who is knowledgeable about PCs

I've been at Target for 6 years in electronics and hear bad things about Best Buy daily since we're in the same shopping center I'm convinced they don't want to sell anything brbrI get guests that come in for a certain item and I tell them, "Best Buy has it" They tell me they just left there and they said they didn't carry it either So I open up my phone and pull it up and show them where it clearly says IN STOCK, IN STORE brbrEvery time I go in there to shop and know exactly what I need, I get hounded by people and told to get something different And when I actually do need help finding something or have a question, it's a ghost townbrbrI've been told my local store is at the point they're not powering on all lights and keep most of the displays turned off to save on energy costs
