It's a huge advantage to attend these ivy schools as you get internships at Amazon, Meta Apple etc and upon graduation you placed at these same companies Otherwise it's very difficult to break into these firms as an experienced professional The interview process is very brutal !!

So alot of manager positions at Amazon which I interviewed for paid under $100k w/ 10+ years of experience My 15+ of my software experience paid around b/w $100k - $150k I worked at NVIDIA but never saw any internships or recent hired college grads
