My 5700xt died in a thunderstorm at the weekend Im gutted as it has been a brilliant card I have put my noisy old R9 390 back in until Scan get a restock of 7800xt's, and i am surprised how well it performs with the '22 drivers
Comment from : Paul Short

apollyon olin

Comment from : DanielC

Dylan Clements
I bought an Asrock Taichi 5700 XT for $100 and it’s been solid Hard to justify something like a 6700 XT which is only 15-20 faster for 3x the price
Comment from : Dylan Clements

Killer Smallz
Kinda looks like the A2000
Comment from : Killer Smallz

CheradenZakalwe
I bought a 6700xt during the end of the GPU apocalypse when a 5700 was going for even more stupid money If these were going for a reasonable price like now I definitely would have bought one instead
Comment from : CheradenZakalwe

IustinInfinite
This is my high end card and while overclocking, I can get a performance similar to the RTX 3060 This card is a beast for gaming May I also add that the overclocked rtx 5700 is 5 better than a base clocked XT model This card is a beast and I can’t wait to change to a better one in the near future!!!
Comment from : IustinInfinite

Jeffrey grindle
I used this exact GPU to build my step son his first rig paired really good with a i7 6700 great 1080p system total build cost was under 400 bucks
Comment from : Jeffrey grindle

Kathleen Delcourt
AMD is said to skip the high end segment for RDNA 4 I don't have a problem with it if the 8700XT proves to be a worthy 5700XT successor
Comment from : Kathleen Delcourt

Detective DeWitt
Currently I'm looking exactly for a 5700 myself Will suit my needs perfectly, just need to get lucky with taxes and I'll get one
Comment from : Detective DeWitt

B Targ
I literally just took mine out of my system and upgraded to a 4060 today! This thing caused so many headaches with awful drivers and finally basically died on me after years of driver related issues and crashes, with artifacts and crashing
Comment from : B Targ

Tiger Tonk
How much for postage ?
Comment from : Tiger Tonk

Matheus Ferreira Nave
there is my card bought from aliexpress
Comment from : Matheus Ferreira Nave

Mads
A worthy successor for the RX 580?
Comment from : Mads

Ocddisco 12
Just a heads up on Starfield Dynamic Resolution only works when fps drops below 30 as tested by digital foundry Does nothing otherwise as there is no way to change the frame rate target
Comment from : Ocddisco 12

Iceburglettuce
I bought a Sapphire Pulse non XT for £270 from Amazon Warehouse not long after release, after selling my 1070 for £330!brI flashed it to an XT bios and it performed pretty close to the CT No problems with heat and no problems with drivers !!brSold it if £630 to someone for mining and bought a 6700XT for £690 Crazy times
Comment from : Iceburglettuce

Waldherz FeuerClan
Dynamic res on and FSR at 60 means that the game will drop some textures to 240p Which you can clearly see happening in the videobrIts gross
Comment from : Waldherz FeuerClan

darkholyPL
It's one of the graphics cards of all time, that's for surebrbrJokes aside, I was kind of considering it (the XT one I mean), for the price it's a nice card, but the 8GB or ram was a no go in 2023 Ended up getting the 6700 XT which is a considerable upgrade
Comment from : darkholyPL

Famous Fighter23
That cooler model is so clean
Comment from : Famous Fighter23

Bryant DeLeon
Bought it Nov '19 @ at 312 shipped being 50$ off in 2019 flashed the XT bios and now it's my backup GPU Solid card no issues whatsoever
Comment from : Bryant DeLeon

Andrew Birch
Not a 5700 but I was able to snag a Asrock Challenger Rx6600 for $140USD open box And it was a brilliant upgrade from my Rx580 Red Devil!
Comment from : Andrew Birch

Michael
I built a duel 2080ti system and sold it a few months before the 30 series came out and I needed a cheap 1080p system to build in the mean time I couldn't believe they were selling 5700's for like £150 not too long after they came out so they definitely were an amazing 1080p bargain for most of their lives Served me well
Comment from : Michael

Alex Walter
bought my 5700 when it was still a new card, right before the prices went crazy Still use it and haven't felt the need to upgrade I got the XFX model but always loved the clean blower look of the reference card
Comment from : Alex Walter

Im finally replacing this card ffor my 1440p upgrade woth a 7800xt It has been an amazing card even while undervolted and underclocked
Comment from : wowyarkan

Robert Loyd
As the native res is 4k for my 42" Samsung HDTV I tend to turn off Post Processing as it's not needed when using FSR set to 1440 which the driver upscales it to 4k on the XFX RX 5700 Most do not consider that Post processing is not needed as there are 4 times as many pixels being rendered at 4k than at 1080 Other settings are set per flavor per game Blurs are turned off as well I do implement a 90fps in RTSS Keep in mind that my fan curves are configured for my regions summer temperatures, and I am using dual intake 140 beQuiet's with one rear 140 beQuiet exhaust in an old Fractal Design R5 case I do some transcoding so my R9 5900x and NVME's are provisioned with PrimoCache utilizing 32G 3400DDR4 on a funky X570 Taichi I wish I had some info to share on BG3, but haven't been playing much of late I should mention that I prefer to keep my hardware close to 60c whenever and as much as possible NVME's remain cool
Comment from : Robert Loyd

Token Tech
picked up my 5700xt openbox for $271 in 2019 the driver issues were super annoying but after about a year it was all good and I am still using it to this day I think I will wait one more generation before upgrading
Comment from : Token Tech

raven
the 5700xt is a 1080p powerhouse but struggles at 1440p in heavier scenariosbrbri kinda wish I didn't get a 1440p monitor with my recent build but also that will be useful when i upgrade to a card that can easily handle it And my overclocked ryzen 5 3600 sits below 60 use in most cases too so there's surely headroom
Comment from : raven

xman2007
You read my mind, I literally bought one of these (actually the 5700 XT) for £110 on eBay a few days ago
Comment from : xman2007

Jlake3
I bought one of these exact reference cooler cards right at launch! Initial drivers were a bit rough, but once that got sorted out it's been awesome Ripped through 1080p, and even does a bang-up job on 1440p if you're not playing the latest and most intense titlesbrbrMaybe I got lucky or maybe I am just used to blower coolers (had a reference 970 before it), but mine never felt as loud as everyone complained about them being (although I think that might have been more acute on the XT?) Happen to really love the aesthetic too Really clean, simple card that doesn't protrude above the bracket or extend into the third slot Throw on a backplate and it would be perfect
Comment from : Jlake3

John Doh
Ehh, when you can get a new 6600 for at low at $175 USD I'm going that directionbrbrbrAMD will end driver updates for RDNA 1 a bit sooner than RDNA 2 RDNA 2 is going to have support for quite a few years because AMD has been making it and selling it new even now So I would expect RDNA 1 to lose updates a good 2 years, maybe more than RDNA 2brbrOtherwise the 5700 is a little bit faster in some games
Comment from : John Doh

Alexandre Bier
I absolutely love this card Bought one earlier this year, replacing an rx 580 It is a cool card, silent as can be ( XFX 2-fans model) and goes nicely with my r5 5600 With a 75 hz monitor and playing 1080p I couldn't ask more from it The difference in price between this and the XT is significant where I live, around 60 dollars, and when compared to the rx6600 it is literally half its price Love it to bits!
Comment from : Alexandre Bier

Zwerker
Bought a mint Red Devil card for 170€ a little over a month ago Slight undervolt and it stays quiet and under 70°C while gaming at 1440P
Comment from : Zwerker

Nick Barnes
Looks a great upgrade to replace my dters RX570 4gb! Thanks for reviewing👍
Comment from : Nick Barnes

Brondster B
I recently repaired a MSI 5700XT X GAMING - coming from a RX 580 4GB to this was a great leap in performance , I use it as me Budget Gaming pc i've builtbrbra Gamble paid off as the GPU was on eBay as a faulty not working and managed to repair it via thermal re-paste and flash VBIOS as it was a custom BIOS (not Minning though) brbrpaid £80 with postage-average price of mine is around £170-£220 so absolute bargain i found but was lucky with fixing it

Everyone should flash the XT bios on the 5700 using more power tool Literal free performance on the table
Comment from : Antolio Parker-James Supreme

Miss Rochelle
RandomgaminginHd do you have a Ultra wide 219 ratio monitor? with a higher Gpu ?? I'd be intrested to see what you can pull from it
Comment from : Miss Rochelle

Salty Fire Buff
I had the RX 570, 550, and later the 580 4gb and 8gb models I know that was 2016, but by 2019 I was in Nvidia-land Great video
Comment from : Salty Fire Buff

Gen X
RayTracing is the new HairWorks - most still leave it off 😂
Comment from : Gen X

Lintu
Built my PC around this card when it was much newer, with an R5 3600 and 32GB of RAM It has been a solid card that handles damn near anything I've thrown at it on my simple 1080p monitor Definitely wasn't the best deal back in 2019-2020 (nothing was, to be fair), feels like a ripoff you can get it so cheap now!!brbrIt is starting to show its age though
Comment from : Lintu

Love Kush
I love my RX 590 Paid $190 in 2018
Comment from : Love Kush

DJ Lim
Am using the Sapphire Pulse 5700XT Still serving me well Running Starfield at Ultra at 1080p (Albeit with a little graphics mod that improved it's performance)
Comment from : DJ Lim

minilogique
I was thinking of repacing my Vega64 with this but I think it will be a sidegrade, even with XT variant
Comment from : minilogique

CamoTech
This card is old and high refresh + 100fps would not be good for this card Save your money and buy something more recent
Comment from : CamoTech

Z Hayward
Akila city feels very cpu heavy honestly even on my 7700x im seeing 70 cpu usage
Comment from : Z Hayward

Paulo Henrique
This model is just too pretty omg 😮

Comment from : Silver_Splinter

White Zelda
Do you think the RX5700XT fro Aliexpress be the sameor similar?brIm currently running an RX590 bit need to update due to issues with it that dont allow it to run at full speeds
Comment from : White Zelda

YuhDumbTing
ryzen 5 3600 + 5600xt still keeping me going
Comment from : YuhDumbTing

Omegalul
Is it worth it to flash the 5700 XT bios? I have one of these but never dared to do so
Comment from : Omegalul

Daniel Revas
I used the MSI OC "Mech" version for a while and was very pleased with it When I bought it the 5700XT version just didn't seem worth the extra premium to me I never regretted it
Comment from : Daniel Revas

blazini
The "driver issues" must have been a Windows thing because I bought a 5700xt right at release with a new 3900x build and that card's been perfect in a Linux desktop since day one I game on a 6900xt/5800x Linux box, rock solid again BTW I think the reference 5700xt is the best looking GPU ever made
Comment from : blazini

apokarin
Used Rx 6700xt price around $200, i think this still best cheap gpu 😂😂
Comment from : apokarin

BrewNrd87
My old Nitro+ is in my 10 year olds rig and I picked up a Mech OC 5700 XT for a $117 for my 8 year olds Paired with Ryzen 5 2600’s Solid for their needs at 1080p
Comment from : BrewNrd87

John Burton
Just picked up an Asrock Taichi 5700 XT for $100, perfect for a "budget" build to play when I don't want to sit at my desk Currently using it to play Forza Horizon 5 @ 4k 60fps with High settings and AMD CAS turned to "Quality" Absolutely boggling what $100 got me!
Comment from : John Burton

Bazwell
Picked up a 5700 back in the summer of 2020 just before the prices started rising like crazy Still using it today and I might be tempted to upgrade to a 7800 xt if it weren't that the 5700 can still run pretty much anything reasonably well at 1440p Starfield has a though time but honestly the game is trash so why should I upgrade my hardware for it?
Comment from : Bazwell

PLDriven
Great timing just snagged one for $107 / $8525 plus tax and shipping haha planning to flash to xt
Comment from : PLDriven

micksterminator3
I think the blower version will be my next upgrade It's the only card that will fit in my mini Lenovo prebuilt Might have to undervolt too lol
Comment from : micksterminator3

what Nerdy
I'm rocking the 5700xt as the last reference style blower card ever for my mini itx to keep hot air out Also heaps dissipate hot air in the case out lol I wish it was more efficient like the nvidia cards or 6000 series amd, but it does its job for now still
Comment from : what Nerdy

Eternal Wings Pro
Didn't expect RX 5700 delivers a quite smooth experience at medium settings, eventhough dynamic scaling is needed
Comment from : Eternal Wings Pro

shane eslick
G'day Random,brDown here it is so much easier to find a used 6600 now "down under"😏$250AUD or 6600XT,brIf you do find a 5700 they start at about $300AUD which is also more than 6600XT at $270AUD
Comment from : shane eslick

Aaron Brucker
I love my Gigabyte 5700xt, got mine with a broken pc, the whole setup cost me $375usd, and all i had to do to fix the pc was replace the cpu, Ryzen 3 3600 replaced with r5 5600 The set up included a asus tuff gaming x570 mother board, 2 sceptre 22' monitors, stand, nice mic, 32 gb of gskill ripjaw ram, 500gb ssd,2tb hdd, cooler master cooler, cheaper antec case, evga 650w gs, and razer mouse and keyboard, plus speakers and mouse pad Best deal of my life
Comment from : Aaron Brucker

Brian, are you sick?
Comment from : 13bmitchell

Benn87
I had a 5700 reference model from xfx That thing almost drove me crazy at some point because of driver problems For every driver that ran stably, there were at least 2 that caused problems afterwards
Comment from : Benn87

Artem
I have the same one in my system Planning to upgrade to 7800XT
Comment from : Artem

eltano09

SH Games
I bought a new RX 6600 late last year for $200 new at a local tech store in Idaho, USA & man idk if I could be happier with any other choicebrbrbrMy i7 4790 had quite a bit more life in it over my prior GTX 970 & I mainly game at 4k In the vast vast majority of titles it’s 99 usage on RX 6600, almost every game is at or above 60 fps & almost a year later I’m still incredibly happy with my purchasebrbrbrLikely soon I’ll buy a cheap office PC with high end parts & add my GPU to that Still however the 4790 goes strong, if a 5700 was available at the time for cheaper I likely would’ve purchased that instead but it has been super cool to turn on RT here or there
Comment from : SH Games

Croco Dylan Ch
In my country these go for $230 or more
Comment from : Croco Dylan Ch

Kishaloy B
I have a RX 5700 bios flashed to RX 5700XT paired with R5 3600/16GB 3200mhz RAM It's a great budget gaming combo if you don't care about RT Runs 95-99 games at Ultra/1080p/60fps You can even go for 1440p, if you use FSR 2 Overall a great GPU Also, it'll have FSR 3 support too which is great
Comment from : Kishaloy B

Innosos
T'was my dream card before the varus hit and prices went crazy In retrospect I'm glad I didn't make the purchase since the 6600 turned out just as fast for a lot less power

Hmm 1660 super still holding on 😅
Comment from : COREL

Oh yes, I've upgraded from 1050ti just a month ago to it It was awsome upgrade for less than 150Euro so the same I've paid for 1050ti just two years ago XD

I would say yes But I am cursed with the 5000 series Even as of recent I have had far to many issues troubleshooting these cards If you aren't cursed like I am they are great for their price though
Comment from : lilpain97

DeadAtDawn
Just paired this exact model of card with a lonovo p520 thinkstation and so far its been a pretty solid machine at 1440p at a total cost of 350$
Comment from : DeadAtDawn

Darcy Lynch
i find it funny when you say board lolbrbowd 😅🤣
Comment from : Darcy Lynch

CataclysmZA
RDNA1 cards are still pretty good value for money, and they'll even support FSR 3 and Anti-Lag Plus when AMD eventually works out the kinks and pushes out the driver updates for it It is unfortunately still a poor experience on Linux, RDNA2 is what you really want if you're going to use it with a Linux distro
Comment from : CataclysmZA

Up The Punx
I used the Kraken G12 bracket to mount an AIO to my 5700xt and went from mid 80’s to 60’s under heavy work loads Amazing cards
