Fun fact Badger was played by Jose Ferrer who was one of the first Hispanic actors in American movies and his son Miguel Ferrer would follow suit by voicing the main antagonist in Mulan and continued voice and villains in other shows until his death in 2018

I find the voices in this adaptation of Wind in the Willows too American for my liking mainly because the movie just like the book is set in England and so I expect them to have English accents

I enjoy a fair number of takes on the Wind in the Willows, as they have their respective shares of qualities, but if I have to pick one, I'd definitely say the Rankin/Bass version certainly achieves in carrying the mood and charm balance ratio of the original story, and despite Toad, Mole and Badger gaining American accents, the actors chosen to voice them fit neatly in their respective partsbrRoddy McDowall's take on Ratty really sells the character on all accounts; he is supposed to be a rat at heart who shows respect to those around him and is willing to overcome his personal doubts to help a friend-in-need, and McDowall really delivers that He doesn't just put on a voice for show; he becomes the character, and that is another major factor as to why this version is my favourite on a par with the stop-motion series produced by Cosgrove Hall Regards, Samuel Farris

my absolute favourite version <3 I watched it so much on my aunt's VHS as a kid in the late 80s, that she eventually just gave it to me :) I remember every other adaption after this one paled so much in comparison!brThis film, Watership Down and The Last Unicorn were non-Disney staples of my youth <3

Crazy I remember watching this in the 80's and I kept having memories of it I kept remembering a frog on a train but could never remember the name of it kept thinking it was called adventures of Toad haha

I relate to Badger most of all I hate uninvited guests, telemarketers, door-to-door salesmen, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, etc but if you're in my friend circle or in genuine need of help I'll welcome you with open arms If I think you're doing wrong or causing trouble, be prepared for me to bring the storm with a serious lecture!

Wow Completely forgot Rankin Bass did this Good to know they made something almost as great as their Hobbit TV special That & The Last Unicorn are still their gold standards BBC Cosgrove Hall's WITW's is still the best version but this is better than many

I love this movie Another literary classic animated film by Rankin Bass right up there with the Last Unicorn Amazingly this beats Disney's classic rendition I love Roddy McDowall as Ratty and Charles Nelson Riley is the best Mr Toad ever
