I am on a prepay meter none smart I can not get any contact to Scottish power I have only had one voucher for 66 pound but it is not possible to talk to them I got a voucher that was not accepted at the pay point what can I do I am disabled and dietetic and I have been ringing them for three months now but they only have automated service that said we don't have to apply we will be sent the voucher by email what can I do brPlease can you help me Mrs jacqueline Barthorpe

I've just moved into a rented house on my own It's small two bedroomed house I'm on a pre pay meter I've tried switching British Gas are not taking customers I transferred to Scottish Power but they have put me on £345 a month! I need to change I have two weeks to cancel but what should I do?

Martin Thank you, yes government totally need to intervene brMy provider (octopus) has estimated my monthly increase and is definately not at 54 increase, it's actually trippled!?!? brThis doesn't seem right or fair, I have questioned it and given regular readings but been told its estimated from previous use, 2years ago, which was when there were more people in the household! brI have paid any remaining debit on my bill so starting from nil in April and going forward i am paying only what i can afford, at a stretch, so I'll just have to be in debt like the rest of the country 😕

Hi Martin I’m with octopus on their Flexible Octopus Tarrif paying £13242 a month I was offered a choice of two fixed tarrifs which were both just below £200 a month I’m hoping I’ve made the right decision to not move to one of their fixed tarrifs

Someone we know tried to top up their gas and electric prepaid meters on 31st March They were told by the shop proprietor that Bulb Energy will only accept up to £49 for topping up prepaid meters

I would advise to report ur meter reading before the endof the month but add 2 years worth of electricity or gas on top of that Just say u used a huge amount last month forthe old price Than u can use all the other months for old price

I use pay as you go standard meters (no smart meter as pre-pay meters are smart enough) Most part I think I have stablised my energy bills especially as I use electric blankets (so comfortable 3p per hour) which slashes gas and electric bills like crazy, but it seems like EDF who I'm with overcharge something over the weekends Last week Friday to Saturday £6 went in 24 hours This week Saturday to Monday morning I would say charged over £3 extra, I think it might be tied to washing machine use (so no washing machine use over the weekend) Another tip to save money other than electric blankets, if you buy bottled water by a domestic water distiller, free pure clean water, no more bottled water and plastic toxic rubbish, saved me £7-10 a week

I am going to have real problems trying to find the money to even pay this I'm on benefits and I just got a quote from my electric 4 over 5000 pounds yearly and the last estimated one I got was for £6,000!!!! one person on my own, using LED lights, don't really use the cooker, have a fridge, a TV and a fish tank on I charge my phone, have an electric shower I don't expect to be using that much, it's like what you would charge for running a weed farm! I just watched you on a good morning Britain you tube video I am also someone who doesn't want the £200 done that way for a very good reason My husband and I have 2 teenage daughters one of whom is already talking about moving out in a year This means that we will get the £200 and as well as us paying it back my eldest will pay the full amount she didn't get back and potentially my youngest will pay some of it back too on top of that we have toiled for over a decade to get debt free except for our mortgage and that will be gone soon While this might not be a debt officially it feels like one and if prices generally (not just energy) continue to go up this will make it even harder for people to pay their bills Ok it's not loads but I don't want my kids paying back money they never got it's not right

Damn take a chill pill None of use being bombed and having to leave our homes So energy is more expensive Roads are still crazy busy so obviously fuel is not unaffordable Actually pretty cheap considering the effort to find oil , refine it and get it to fuel stations 750ml wine is £7 1 ltr fuel 170 that took an insane amount of effort to find and process !
