As a consolation for those who wish this was real, I have a smaller scale story that is true I was 7 yrs old when my mother met her best friend Rosie* (names changed for privacy of her family) and when I was about 10, Rosie was diagnosed with a rare terminal lung disease For the rest of her life at that point, every day was a battle to get the care she needed from fighting dr offices for various appointments/surgeries/treatments, fighting pharmaceutical companies to continue manufacturing unprofitable "orphan drugs" so she doesn't make her two little ones actual orphans, and fighting the state to continue providing her and her family health insurance Her disability payments were dismal and her husband's job barely paid enough to keep the lights on, so when slapped with unexpected bills, it really hurt thembrbrOne time, a routine dr visit gave her a massive bill unexpectedly she had zero chance of ever affording She spent weeks fighting it She talked the costs down a bit but it was still more than she could afford, so she asked for a monthly payment plan For many more weeks, they denied her requests until finally letting up and saying she could start monthly payments at $30/mo Out of spite, Rosie got $30 worth of rolls of pennies from the bank, went to the Dr office, and stood at the receptionist desk to make the payments She unraveled the rolls of pennies one by one, right in the receptionist's face, making her first month's payment while making a statementbrbrI'm sad to say Rosie passed away April 2019 when her condition progressed further But never did a day go by where she wasn't one of biggest bad ass ladies I ever had the pleasure to know in my entire life But yeah so I can't say much about apple, but at least the predatory behavior of health care industry here in NJ got some of that treatment

Fun fact, my city payed another city in medieval time in pennies (well technically 25 cents coins) To this day the nickname of people from that city is "blue fingers" as counting pennies long enough gives you blue fingers The reason they were payed in pennies was due to a rivalry, they stole our livestock and we robbed their boats (us being down river) but at one point they didn't have enough money to pay the bischop (read ruler of the land) and thus they tried selling off their church bells of a recently burned down church Well we bought the bells and as there was no other buyer they had no other option to accept, but it was all payed for in pennies
