If you have not tried Wells Fargo over the last two years try them again I became a fan of online banks like Chime but, how Wells Fargo handles fraud issues like if your account gets compromised is by far way better than Chime will take care of you Chime, Plenty of people have to join one of many open Class Actions open against Chime and wait a year for you to see your money again

You can open a Mexican bank account over wise (ex transferwise) You can do this from everywhere in the world This way you have Mexican pesos on a local bank account and can use it with the wise debit card or transfer it to another local bank account once you have one

Did you know you can open a mexican bank account as a tourist at CI Banco? I had thought that you needed residency first, but thats not true CI banco just asked for my passport, social security card and a copy of 2 bills(electric, water) from where I was renting which didn't have to be in my name CI banco setup my checking account and doesn't charge me any withdrawl fees, but they did charge me 1000 pesos for their FRUDE service I signed up for a year Now I can do a global wire transfer straight from my Chase mobile app to my CI banco acct which only charges me $5 usd 👍
