Debbie LaSalle
The premium on the 1/10 is $7000, that's a lot

Anthony 1964
Very nice collection I have a 2023 American Gold Eagle 1/10 oz What’s a reasonable offer for some quick cash If I decide to sell it
Comment from : Anthony 1964

manongahela
Problem with fractional gold is you pay a premium on each coin and a Minting Fee So, you pay much more for 10 1/10th oz gold coins than if you buy a 1 ounce gold coin You'd be better off to buy a valcambi card that breaks in 1 gram fragments My opinionthanks for your video
Comment from : manongahela

Larkinchance
That's what junk silver is for Stacking is not coin collecting

Don't forget about 20 Francs and British Soverigns

Love to Gun
Im no stacker and a complete newby but I find that even the lowest premium on the 1/10 ounce gold coins makes you end up at $1000 over premium of just buying a 1 ounce coin Im struggling with that one *Correction, $800/$850 over premium depending on the coins
Comment from : Love to Gun

Mike Fu
Don't worry about premiums too much!I remember buying J&M silver back when it was CRAZY highand guess what, it's actually worth MORE now! even with the spot price being way lower, the price is So high, because you can't even find that brand now, LolThere's so much more to silver than Spot and Premiumsthese people are stuck in the past
Comment from : Mike Fu

milkSpotsCauseMeToSpazzOut
fractional gold in my experience has been handy for when you wanna sell but don't wanna sell a whole ounce of goldSometimes u just needs a couple hundred dollars and not $2000 dollarsOnce your coin is goneit's gone

They always hit poor people hardest … like those of us buying fractional

I started buying buy the 5 gram bars in late 2020 It takes 31103 grams for 1 Troy oz of gold I can acquire 2oz of gold a year buying 5gram bars 12x’s a month My job allows me the opportunity to but two or three extra 5 gram bars in two separate months The rest of the year when I can afford to I buy an extra 5 gram bar a month I do buy
Comment from : kennyt8016

Black Ghost
You know in the movies when you cringe seeing the hero give out his last big gold coin for a bribe or something… that’s why you have fractionals and silver The Witcher gets paid in gold

If you are young, don’t worry about the 1/10 ounce prices I picked up 1/10 gold in the 90’s for 50 each, now I’m a few years from retirement and they’re around 230-240? Guess the “long-haul plan” worked!
Comment from : Christopher Hubert

David Cianfarano
fan of both silver and gold for years but got serious 1 1/2 yrs ago now have tube of 1/10 oz gold and tube mix 1//4 1/2 oz G and 200+ oz silver Got tired of money sitting in bank making the bank richgreat video will create more interest and investors
Comment from : David Cianfarano

SlackStax
By the time I would have managed to save around £1400 with my spare cash range for 1 oz without it getting blown on other stuff I’m sure the cost would / could rise more than I would lose on regular 1/10 oz purchases
Comment from : SlackStax

Gaming Bigfats
A few weeks ago I traded 9–1/10 oz maples for a 1oz RCM bar My LCS can’t keep enough 1/10 oz in his inventorybrGreetings from 🇨🇦
Comment from : Gaming Bigfats

I don't see a reason to buy fractional gold when your cost per ounce goes way upppp! Just save up for an extra couple months and buy a full ounce

Fractional gold is always good to have Got a mix I actually don't know exactly how much is fractional My LCS doesn't gouge me real hard on fractional The last 2 full oz coins I actually got for $50 under spot and they're MS 70 PCGS FIRST STRIKES NOT from an LCS Bait and switch but I didn't switch And yes they are real

2 is 1
If and when we get back to the premium levels we had prior to 2020, everything changes again The spread (on premium) between a 1/4 and a full ounce coin was relatively minimal for years I gave up $60 in extra premium in a trade from quarters to full ounce coins Have a good weekend, Florida!
Comment from : 2 is 1

Silver Down under
I do like my gold👍👍
Comment from : Silver Down under

Ready-Adhesiveness40
Premiums on 1/10ths have been fairly reasonable recently - especially on Phils and Britannias It's not easy for most people to save up 1900 bucks for a 1 ozt coin, and tenths have been in the low 200's recently I don't recommend 1 gram bars, though If you can save up 80 bucks for a gram - it's better to wait and get that tenth
Comment from : Ready-Adhesiveness40

Buny Mustard
1 oz gold coins?!?brThe premiums are sooo highbrJust stack 10 oz rhodium barz
Comment from : Buny Mustard

Jersey Rider
I am currently stacking one 10 oz silver bar per month and purchase gold when budget permits I am in Law Enforcement so obviously I am working with limited disposable income
Comment from : Jersey Rider

24k Gold Buffalo
I don't worry about the premiums right now I plan to give my coins to favorite children and grandchildren
Comment from : 24k Gold Buffalo

Nick L Eakins
As a rule, the gold bars are a little more economical They're not as pretty but they're a better value for straight bullion As for coins, the Austrian Philharmonics are the best value Like the man says, it might be easier to sell a fractional than an ounce coin or bar 5 gram bars don't cost a whole lot more than tenth ounce coins I don't recommend buying anything less than a 5 gram bar
Comment from : Nick L Eakins

Edward L
Love the 1/2 ouncer's
Comment from : Edward L

Edward L
When SHTF, you will need something to barter with Having a full range of fractional gold makes it easier to part with the coin IMO

Stacker - Staker - Dividend Maker
When it comes to gold, I subscribe to the old adage, "One in the hand beats two in the bush" Depending on your financial situation, a lot can happen in the amount of time it takes you to save up for (1) 1 oz gold coin or bar Personally, I'd rather have even just one or two tenths of an ounce than excess fiat (above and beyond my emergency cash stash) sitting around waiting to be converted to real money if the spot price and/or premiums were to sky rocket, or things were to go south Additionally, while it cost more in the long run, my first ounce came the hard way (1, 5, and 10 gram bars), but I felt quite a sense of accomplishment For what that's worth

72cmcinc

I do get tempted to buy fractional gold sometimes because I could buy gold in shorter intervals But I always choose to wait until I have enough saved up to buy a 1 ounce gold coin
Comment from : 117rebel

SoCalSilver
I was never good at saving cash or anything with intrinsic value until I found silver I’ve trained myself (over the last 13yrs) to save/stack AG/AU/PT every payday I’m normally stacking 1/10th & 1/4oz Au and any silver I find at a decent premium It’s great to see my wealth grow over timebrKeep stacking!
Comment from : SoCalSilver

Dont ask
Its not what you buy, but how you buy itbrAprox every 8 to 10 weeks, I will get $50 rewards in rewardsbrI find a Canadian or Perth Mint (low premium) for $25 over spot, and use the $50 of rewards I dont carry a balance, so I dont paid interest, so the rewards is literally not my money, and I don't even have to use the card to use the rewardsbrIts a win, win, win, and Gold at $250 a ounce UNDER SPOTbr( 1/10 oz ×10 @ $25 under spot)brIf I can do it, anyone can I'm as poor as a rain cloud
Comment from : Dont ask

Comment from : Ross

the English Professor
1/10 oz & 1/4 oz both offer greater frequency and variety than a full ounce as well as space to satisfy my silver fix It’s a win-win! 👌
Comment from : the English Professor

D Graddy
If you don't care about the year, design or country of origin several sites have random design 1/10 (and up) at a significant discount SD Bullion is my favorite Right now a random 1/10 is $20 cheaper than a current AGE Type 2 1/10
Comment from : D Graddy

NOLVER53
Any gold is better than none I mainly stick to fractionals because I just can't drop nearly $2000 on a one ounce gold coin or bar
Comment from : NOLVER53

HUNTER HAMILTON
Excellent!!

D S
I'm working on a tube of 1/4 oz gold, mix of 2021 Britannia and 2021 Maples I can't do anything larger for now and I like to pick up something monthly If I waited to purchase a full oz I might lose interest Premiums aside I may work on a tube of 1/10 oz gold next Baring a major catastrophe I'm not concerned about reselling For now it's a hobby and building an insurance policy for overall well-being
Comment from : D S

Aaron George
Great video! I acquired my first 1 oz silver coin back in December and my first 1/4 oz gold coin in January Been hooked ever since Managed to fill a 5 oz tube of the 1/4 oz’ers and thought I’d make the switch to 1 oz coins, but miscellaneous expenses kept sidelining me from that Recommitted to another tube of 1/4 oz’ers and am already up to 9 Totally agree that you gotta buy what works for you
Comment from : Aaron George

Henzo
I just picked up a 1/10th Britannia Beautiful coin
Comment from : Henzo

Gunnar Gundersen
I have to stack 1/10th oz to round up my Gold Sovereigns over 1Toz 1 for every 4 sovereignsbrbrBesides a 1/10 oz is going to be worth way more in an SHTF econonic collapse scenariobrbrThat said the really small fractional - Eg The 1945-47 Gold Peso's just aren't worth it
Comment from : Gunnar Gundersen

The Silver Sergeant
