idk if you still check comments on this video but the active reading suggestion was pretty helpful but would it be possible if you could do a cars passage together and show us what you mean by active reading and how you approached passages? Comment from : Yes No |

Doctor, my experience is that the examiners are really looking for your ability to comprehend a snippet of English:brFor example (por ejemplo):brbrbafter a passage/bbrall of the following opinions work to undermine the legitimacy of the Sinaloa cartel:bra) The fact that Sinaloa is a state in Mexicobrb) The notion that a cartel is an illegal non-sponsored entity that vies for political powerbrc) a onlybrd) a and bbrrepuesta: bbrI find it important to identify synonyms and antonyms in these parts, yo, because you need to comprehend what is asked and how to find exactly what answer expresses the reinforcing concept brbrFor example: of the following, what would be reflective of insubordination (test-taker would look for words relating to desertion) which synonymous with the theme or, if written as what would be indicative of insubordination would also result in a similar answer but if someone wrote the question as: what would be a behavior that is converse of insubordination, you would look for an antonym answer that runs opposite with the word such as bravery and loyalty and desertion would be incorrectbrIf you purchase a thesaurus🦕 and dictionary you'll really benefit from points gained by word knowledge and, they look great on your bookshelf Comment from : Arlo Arthur Cordell |

!!! That strategy at 8:08 on strategic highlighting is something I also figured out that worked well for me I also highlighted things that seemed like they would be relevant and would need to be referenced quickly So I highlighted anything like "said, thought, stated" etc because it usually introduces an opinion I also highlighted "experiment" or "study" so I'd know where to go quickly And I also highlighted numbers for ease of reference, but that is dependent case by case for me Comment from : Sewpungyow |

At first, I thought you misspoke when you said to summarize each sentence However (underline this part), I went and did some practice questions right after watching this and the active reading bit made a huge difference brbrI went from averaging 75-80, and feeling nervous about 1/2 of my answers, to 95 and feeling very confident brbrMy previous method was to write down the main idea of each paragraph and worked well enough But doing a mental summary of each sentence made it soo much easier to relate the arguments from each paragraph The passages honestly seemed more interesting when I did this method as well The extra time it took to read was compensated by how much quicker I answered the questions brbrThank you, thank you, thank you!
