Late to comment, but just got an offer from APMEX I got freaked out by my nut to cover with the IRS, so I was going to sell some slabbed pre-33 Their offer came in 28 below GreySheet retail and 30 below PCGS retail And all of these coins APMEX will sell for over retail Their offer made me pause, and I reconsidered selling Will pay the IRS bill some other way

I had exclusively stacked Maples, Eagles, and Buffalos - to be able to resell when the series of price explosions actually occurs I got sloppy and looked to add a little diversity picking up a an Australian Kangaroo, a 2023 King Charles Britannia, and a Beast of the Yale of Beaufort, just before the prices took off I don't have an LCS to build relationships with so my only options are price out from an SD Bullion, a JM Bullion, an APMEX etc All my "diversity" brings me to just keep them and enjoy the coins and maybe pass down later in life Thanks so much for all the info you put out - watch you everyday!

In the final analysis, the value of ANYTHING is what you can sell it for and how EASILY (ie how LIQUID it is) it can be sold at a good price From my experience, NOTHING comes close to gold and silver for this at present

I'm trying to sort out a contradiction that's been brewing in my mind as a NEWBie here If I SELL my Ounce of METAL that I'm holding, for the currency it's based on, aren't I holding the same FIAT currency I'm trying NOT to have, cause that's why we buy certain METALS in the FIRST place To not have that FIAT currency? Follow the contradiction here? I HOLD metal, cause it's WORTH X amount of DOLLARS But the Dollar value is based on NOTHING So now I'm holding NOTHING FIAT PAPER dollars, when I sell my metal UGH

Good experiment I think it's worth shopping around even as a seller and getting an idea of potential exit strategies I did try selling to a couple of different dealers in the UK in the past just to try it before putting any substantial amounts into coins 👍🏼

was gonna dabble in this myself but with silver i have some generic lunar rabbit rounds i bought before the perth mints dropped i dont want them neither did my coworker brbri was thinking id leave one as a tip or give as a gift but i havent gone anywhere or done anything to justify that brbri havent been ready to buy gold but im gettin ready to so im gonna bring them with me to the lcs to knock down that price on gold/ozbut silver is still in the low 20s so they still gotta make their money on these random rounds

On reflection, this actually isn't surprising to me Both of those series coins will likely go for well, well over spot on JM Whenever the online retailers get some backdate series coins in, they always put them on sale for a hefty premium That means it's not a huge problem for them to give spot+5 or 6 As you often says, cheers!

Was there any reason you used fedex instead of the postal service? How does the insurance work What kind of packaging or envelope did you use, how much tape did you wrap around it? Just kidding about that last question, but with my ocd for something that high stakes I don’t think I could make the package secure enough By any chance did fedex know what they were insuring? It may be easy to sell now, but will your dealers be willing to buy your gold during a declining gold market? Some dealers may tell you that they're not creating a gold exchange market place and don't agree to buy the gold back at a later date in the way you'd sell a stock What are your prospects for Krugerrands in your local market? Would you encounter any difficulty selling those?

I'm glad you went through everyone As long as you did I'm hoping you noticed something I haven't ever seen Never Nada Palladium is basically out of stock on this entire North America continent but the price is falling Not complaining as I sold my palladium over $2k But notice the online dealers just aren't taking the bait and following at all, the market price This is like the stock market vs the Fed Certainly one would suggest someone wants to hurt Russia, being the big cheese in palladium, but they have thrown out price discovery completely Just watching with Vlad and eating a bowl of popcorn

The only time I sold gold coins so far was when I wanted to get rid of some coins I didn't like anymore This included most of my 20 Francs coins, all my German 20 Mark coins and the Austrian four Ducat coins My plan was to directly buy new one ounce coins for the money I got for thembrIf I was planning to sell any more coins in the future the circulated non-true fractional coins would be the first to go

Theres a pawn shop in my town and they were selling silver bars so i went in to look at them they were selling a one ounce silver bar for £200 and a 1000 Gram bar for a I think around a £1000 These people clearly knew they were scamming people My mum has bought some things from that store So I decided to sell one of my Britannias to them (thinking that still go along with their lie, to convince me a one ounce bar of silver is worth £200) so I can give back my mums money to her But when they the two employees to it into their back room to look at it and weigh it and gave a whisper about it, they told me it was worth £7

Great topic I did this same thing myself with 1oz gold and 6 kilos silver in 2021 Sold them online to Provident (same as JMB) and they gave me slightly over spot for a generic 1oz gold round Now, it was an Incuse Indian and I really wish I'd kept it, but I think the one point you missed in this video is - what did they say about the 10 oz PAMP bar? Maybe I missed that part, but for those of us that have generic gold, I think there's a positive note here which is - they can be sold to the big online dealers without any problem Yes, for a little less than an Eagle or Buffalo, but in my case, it was still over spot, even for a generic gold round

As a side note, I had a purchase one time from JM that never made it to me The claims process they have in place works when you follow it It resulted in my being sent a replacement after an short investigation was conducted to determine that my claim was valid Total time from confirmation of missing shipment to receiving my replacement was about 30 days I've been a customer of theirs as well as others for several years
