The Jack bolt and carrier are treated, not in the raw The bolt carrier is NICKLE plated It does not rust like the zpap Arsenal sam7 makes no sense for a 85-9lb 762x39, 556 AKs make absolutely no sense because it's 2+lbs heavier and less accurate than an AR-15 I own a zpap, galil ace and wbp jack All of them are only fun guns and have no practical use because of weight except for the wbp jack, that thing is AKM light, weights as much as an unloaded zpap, but with a fully loaded 30 round magazine It is nice and light for a 762x39 AK

I picked up a Bulgarian 74 parts build from the defunct tn guns It was like $399 at the time It had a shitty rivet job so i had it redone by a gunsmith that works on them Runs great and for an ak, very accurate

True about imported AKs going up in value! I paid $1400 for a Russian Vepr AK shortly after they were banned from import I also have a Vepr 12 shotgun I paid $700 for I am seriously interested in the Zastava ZPAP, but not an easy decision given the price The Zastava M90 would be very similar to my pre-ban Valmet M76 Excellent 223/556 AK, but very heavy

I have a mak 90 with zhukov furniture super light accurate and so so smooth with thousands of roynds throughand also a n-pap that's also very accurate low recoil but I feel it's so big n heavy I still love it though Brand new with beautiful wood furniture Minus the bulging trunnion and chrome lined barrel sigh at least I have something close to the z pap Hard to get one now

ALT idea You can buy a complete AR15 upper for around $300-$400 chambered in 762x39 that has way better accuracy and better reliability than ANY AK on the market and not even have to do an FL transfer
