I took some time to just sit down and think about the various possibilities, and I was able to figure it out I used some trial-and-error, but I got figured it out mostly the way it was shown in the video

I learned about this in abstract algebra I even have a pair of d6's that answer this question According to my dice, one is a 1, 2, 4, 3, 3, 2 and the other is 6, 5, 3, 4, 1, 8 That should yield the same results as a standard 2d6brI paused to before the answer to grab my dice Didn't realize it was answered

I like how the concept of a set of 2 dice that would have the same relative chance of rolling results as regular dice do, would be such an alien thing to come up with Once you turn it into a problem like this video has (and add the constraint of max 4 eyes per side on one die, which was a massive hint) it suddenly becomes a trivial thing to solve

Alternative solution: the die that can have more than 4 on a side is the normal 1 through 6 The other has the following sides with their dots/pips in the center (for ease of clarity): 1, 2, 3 & 1, 2, 3 However on the second set of 1 through 3 there's an additional pip on the edge signifying a +3 to the total value for that side

This was more like an extremely basic sudoku than a riddle My process was ultimately the same as that in the video, but I didn't use a "table", it was simple enough that I just did it in my head

My solution to this was to have one die normal and the cursed die have 3 fours Basically whenever you rolled a 4, you would roll the normal die to determine the value of the 4

Good puzzle You kind of glossed over why we had to make 12 using 4 and 8, instead of 3 and 9 or 2 and 10, but this is a simple deduction if you work through it yourself

With how dice roll, 1,2,3 are all you need Dice have it so the 2 opposing faces can always add to 7 So on those alternate sizes you can just mark them with dots in solely the bottom corner for example with 1 This does require extra work, flipping the die over and such, but as far as the rules go I don’t think there’s anything stopping this from being a “fair” answer
