As a corporate legal assistant I have one advice for entrepreneurs that has to do with money indirectly: don't do business with people that have a bad payment mentality and do not pay their legal team Get out once you get that information brbrAll of these I have witnessed over years - literally 100 - were players that don't care, went cheap and eventually out of business And they take you with them Always pay your legal team well for the value they provide And be nice to the assistants, they open more doors for you :)brbrThank you for the video!

Wait a minute You become lucky enough to get introduced to a passive investor with deep pockets, you mean to tell me, you’re gonna turn him away because he isn’t able to introduce you to a heavy hitter in your line of work? You have a lot of good advice and I respect your opinions even when I disagree with them but I have a question Our family jointly runs two businesses that are spacially related rather than topically related We run a rural hospitality business and a neighborhood excavating business in the same locale We already have the assets and are somewhat experienced in both fields; would you consider this an unmatched pair of businesses? They are completely different but we already had the land for equipment, and needed equipment to dig in our parking lot, water lines, septic, drainage, solar, etc What exactly constitutes unrelated businesses, and how do you determine whether to pursue a potentially profitable endeavor when it seems well within your grasp? What advice do you have for people who have diversified before getting big and need to decide what to do now?

The only one that I think could go either way as a mistake or a GREAT decision is the "Active vs Passive" investors In your example, of course the $4 million investor that could double the size of your company offers more value than the investor that offers only to give you $5 million brbrFor example, if the same two investors came up to you and the passive investor came to you and offered $20,000,000 and the active investor offered $8,000,000and the assumption was that the active investor could double your company's value, I think that becomes a bit more complicated, depending on your current company's value In your example, without a doubt, I'm taking the $4,000,000 from the active investor In my example, it depends, doesn't it? There are DEFINITELY scenarios where I would be completely comfortable turning down the $8,000,000 (although I'd probably say yes to both, if possible) despite the possible networking, depending on who and what they bring to the company, and simply want to spend the money the way I think is best I wouldn't want an investor to take charge and try to steer me in a different direction than where I think I need to go, most of the time I'd prefer to do it myself unless that particular investor has ties in my specific industry or can reduce manufacturing costs, reduce material costs, negotiate better deals, etc brbrI think it's a little more complicated than you make it out to be, personally Good video nonetheless

I recently came across your videos as I am dealing with quiting my job for not being valued Love the PHP name I also share the value of people capital Let me elaborate my story and how it connects in relation to this video I took on a job with a company where I helped bringing solutions to problems I did all the purchasing for supplies needed for manufacturing , dealt with vendors , drivers , sales people, customers and internally engaged daily with other workers to help solve any problem in front Many times not knowing how but based on the connection and people I delt with I knew who to contact I gave my 2 weeks resignation because they saw me as $ sign & fell short and cheap to compansate In other words im a believer not just a resume I see that you think different I can identify with that , I see value where nodody even looks at and I am disruptive For example I believe most people in jail are the ones can make the world a better place The reason for that is simple they all think different and since the first years of education they start getting in trouble because no one understands their behaviors , they get stigmatized in the system all the way trough high school where the way they release the frustation of being social rejects ussually gets them in trouble with the law until it becomes higher crimes How does this relate to this video? Predictibility - The ones that think different and are disruptive are also the most creative Imagine putting the business of prison out of busines?
