I had our diamond ring stolen from our apartment I had it on my shoe rack as I was going to engrave it, I forgot it was there when these people came to fix our window A week later I was historical looking for it, we had donated some shoes and clothes so naturally I thought it went with the donations The church lady had the shoes still and it wasn't there Months went by, we looked and looked and looked My mind wondered and finally realized one of the guys that were there in my place was acting funny He even wanted to leave and gave me sn odd look i can't seem to get out my head Either way I couldn't prove it, so that was that I few years later saw the older of the two workers and I had ask about the young kid that was with him, and he told that was his son He asked me why I was so interested, and I just blabbed it out, it just came out and I told him we had a ring in a shoe rack, that was right next to the window they had fix and it went missing He was surprised I made such a claim, I didn't care! I had finally voiced it out loud

1200 USD for a 074 CT diamond, with about 6-10 grams of 18k gold? Thats a ripoff unless the diamond is below SI2 From the looks of it it has a decent colour too, not yellow at all, id say above H My suggestion would be to get the certificate and sell it at an auction if you are having a problems with getting a decent offer from a dealer

No one wants to buy your diamond, even with a GIA certificate? I'd caution against dealing with any establishment that will only sell It's not uncommon for a very high-end jewelry store to only sell, but the places you were visiting smelled like ripoff artists If you go to a place that is selling loose diamonds & you have a GIA certified diamond they should at least give you a low-ball offer If they could buy a GIA diamond below wholesale market value, but refuse to buy you have to wonder why Chances are they're selling diamond "simulants" for real diamond prices If a GIA certified diamond is worth $10,000 usd wholesale & you would sell it to them for $5000 usd they'd be stupid not to buy it at 50 below wholesale Where are they going to buy another equivalent GIA diamond for less? No where & that's why I think they're selling fakes at real diamond prices A $10,000 usd wholesale GIA diamond could easily sell for $15-$20,000 usd retail The only reason they're not interested in making a $10-$15,000 usd profit is that they're selling a fake that cost them $25-$50 usd & they're selling it for $10,000 usd to some unsuspecting/uneducated buyer The dishonest dealer will tell the buyer that they're getting a "big discount" only because it doesn't have a certificate Minimal investment for them, same profit Buyer beware!

Always get 3 quotes, that first guy was dodgy There seems to be plenty of loose diamonds for sale, what district is that called? I must visit there when I come brA good investment would be a jewellery cleaning cloth, it is amazing how rubbing a ring on one for 30 seconds can make it extra shine, I often do it for my customers and they say how did you do that so fast and I usually end up selling them a cloth Goddards make a really good one
