I finished super mario 3D land some days ago,i wasnt born in 2011 but this game gave me like the fell of playing like a super mario 64 but if it existed a sequel(yeah sm64 was my first mario game that i played) and the fact that 3d world exists and there's some 3d land levels in captain toad "ho ho this makes me so happy" also i really want a 3ds to play this game in a real hardware instead of using citra or smth

Man, I'm kinda sad the whole 3D trope of the 3Ds died out so quickly Nintendo really did go above and beyond with this game It doesn't look all that incredible on YT, but turning the 3D slider to max while you were playing on the 3DS made this feel incredibly different in the best ways possible The camera angles were usually great, graphics looked really nice at the time, and the whole "3D" aspect really never went unused (eg those isometric optical illusion levels just to name one, when playing in 3D mode you could actually tell the depth of everything without using the camera buttons) Other little things like the coins UI popping out just slightly, those world cutscene letters from Bowser having different layers to them, literally EVERYTHING in this game uses the 3D screen to its fullest potential, literally some of my best memories of this game are BECAUSE of the 3D-ness that was brand new technology at the time to say I adored it is an understatement brbrJust kinda sucks it didn't get the attention it deserved I'd really like to see a modern console with modern hardware (maybe the next gen Switch) have some sort of 3D function

I remember getting this game alongside a classic red Nintendo 3DS I never felt so excited for a device in my life I remember thinking I 100 this game but now looking through the gameplay, I kinda wanna go back and play it Too bad I traded in my saved copy 😂 though still had a blast playing it
