Easy fix: don't be a caveman when manipulating your macbookbrAlso, about the "turn off" question: i don't think apple makes it to be frequently turned off Steve Jobs wanted all of apple products to never be shutdown He wanted everything to be "dormant" while not being used Just like we use the iphone and macbook today (you can verify this in his biography by Walter Isaacson) Comment from : Felipe Leite |
The only Youtuber that clickbaits me and I cannot watch more than 2 minutes Summarize!!!!!!!!! Comment from : Antonio Popovski |

This video is just retarded "The laptop picks up speed for multasking" What in the world? I think videos like these must be taken with a grain of salt Furthermore, you propose having components turned ON all the time instead of switching them OFF when not in use So keep them ON saves the components instead having them in use? This makes no sense Comment from : Nikhil Kapila |
arthur winer, what a fake ass name Comment from : herbstomp003 |
Don't listen to this video as it's absolutely hogwash Anyone worth any salt in IT knows that you ALWAYS FULLY SHUT DOWN your laptop when travelling This is so obvious even a retard can understand whybrbrIt is also FALSE that shutting down your Macbook does more harm than good That is absolute HOGWASH! Comment from : herbstomp003 |

Don’t waste your time seeing this video, I already did 🥲… The only good advice on this video is to be sure there is no debris when closing the lid… the rest stuff is useless and just to much non sense bla bla “info” to create video content…brNote to dumb YouTuber: The start up processes don’t do a “100 stress type test” to the components 🤦🏻♂️😂 Comment from : Alberto Martin |
11:28 T2 chip is a cut down version of A10, and it is vulnerable to checkm8 exploit (which is quite popular for jailbreaking) So its not safe at all All modern (2020 M1 and later) macbooks no longer have it tho Comment from : Nikita Zaycev |
Every time I leave my Mac “Open/on” I came back, i Notice apple somehow mess with it Can’t really tell how or what they do But they defenely check it out Comment from : Francisco O |

I don't quite agree what comes to that camera cover destroy display because the space between display and keyboard is minimal!!!!!!brThe cover could mean ONLY that the space between display and keyboard is now slightly bigger, so the is definitely no danger Comment from : Aarto Salo |

I have my M1 MBA now for 2,5 years I never ever turned it off Just restarts after an update I always just close the lid and I love it, that the M1 goes on working, updates, chats, everything is also up to date I also use it at external usb-c monitors with a closed lid Its a perfect machine I will never give it back Comment from : MediSpring |

Shut down your Macs at the end of the day guys its not worth listening to everyone on the internet this im saying out of experience i work on mac and me and my colleague switched ours off at the end of a work day, most editors adopted the never shutting their macs off while it lasted them a good 4 years they all faced issues and meltdowns at crucial times our 2010 macs lasted up until 2019 we even lost google chrome updates lol those things are being used now as servers lol still going strong we have since upgraded , theres not enough reason not to do so you'll end up with booting issues and ram issues as well as SSD failures and having to zap your Pram Comment from : XFIXE8 |
so the seep mode in Apple Macs in general works way better than windows if someone is just transitioning it might be natural for them to turn off their windows laptop and now that they own a Mac they still do the same thing, through out all the time I owned a Mac I never turn it off it's very well optimized and won't use too much battery Comment from : TheCarAdventure |
Slamming Laptop‘s lid is just for showing off😂🎉 Comment from : LeicaM11 |
This is excellent and only regret not finding you in February when I got my first MacBook Stopped using computers when I finished studying in 94 A friend laughed 20 years back when I went on a desktop for the first time in decades and asked him how I park the drive Needed Apple as make music and art Never owned a new computer so decided to treat myself I'm more than happy with it and I'm gradually discovering all the Wonderfull features As a 50 year old I was part of the first generation that had home computers as children and programmed basic Well thats what we told out parents Comment from : Pie shop |

Batteries are still running with Lithium, a metal that incinerates when in contact with air or water How is the battery failure history of the Macbook batteries currently in use? I know Apple adheres to high standards, but to my knowledge as long as we have Lithium batteries we will have fires caused by Lithium Comment from : boredgrass |

If a laptop suffers from turning it off when it's not in use and turning it on when it's ready to be used across several years, I blame the company for manufacturing a poor quality product Not the user Comment from : Iggy Cygnus |
there is no such thing as wear on computer components except for the SSD, the battery, the display and the keyboard The SSD has so much capacity, that it will survive your device twice over easily Also keeping your system running alsso creates a load for your SSD so shutting off might be better Also hibernating writes the ram onto the SSD so thats even worse than shutting downbrThe display and keyboard wear by usage, kinda obvious and the battery by charge cycles So saying that rebooting your computer is harmful, wrong and misleading But as youtube has no quality control, feel free to scare macbook users into wrecking their battery Comment from : Invalid |
What about when you want to use it with an external Monitor? and I prefer to keep laptop closed 🤨 Comment from : Jean Paul Geoffroy |
