11:28 T2 chip is a cut down version of A10, and it is vulnerable to checkm8 exploit (which is quite popular for jailbreaking) So its not safe at all All modern (2020 M1 and later) macbooks no longer have it tho

My MacBook which I still use had a period of time(4years) where I didn’t turn it off I only closed it and I’ve never had a problem as for the camera I covered it in water soluble arcrylic paint so I can just wipe it away when I need to use it

I have my M1 MBA now for 2,5 years I never ever turned it off Just restarts after an update I always just close the lid and I love it, that the M1 goes on working, updates, chats, everything is also up to date I also use it at external usb-c monitors with a closed lid Its a perfect machine I will never give it back

Shut down your Macs at the end of the day guys its not worth listening to everyone on the internet this im saying out of experience i work on mac and me and my colleague switched ours off at the end of a work day, most editors adopted the never shutting their macs off while it lasted them a good 4 years they all faced issues and meltdowns at crucial times our 2010 macs lasted up until 2019 we even lost google chrome updates lol those things are being used now as servers lol still going strong we have since upgraded , theres not enough reason not to do so you'll end up with booting issues and ram issues as well as SSD failures and having to zap your Pram

so the seep mode in Apple Macs in general works way better than windows if someone is just transitioning it might be natural for them to turn off their windows laptop and now that they own a Mac they still do the same thing, through out all the time I owned a Mac I never turn it off it's very well optimized and won't use too much battery

there is no such thing as wear on computer components except for the SSD, the battery, the display and the keyboard The SSD has so much capacity, that it will survive your device twice over easily Also keeping your system running alsso creates a load for your SSD so shutting off might be better Also hibernating writes the ram onto the SSD so thats even worse than shutting downbrThe display and keyboard wear by usage, kinda obvious and the battery by charge cycles So saying that rebooting your computer is harmful, wrong and misleading But as youtube has no quality control, feel free to scare macbook users into wrecking their battery
