lowkey213
Us mint is selling 1 coin for $80 when a Troy ounce is $2518… that’s not even including the tax it’s called robbery… I can buy 3 Troy ounces of silver at that price
Comment from : lowkey213

AMO4X
How much would a 2016 silver eagle with the higher rating or a high-grade be worth I gave 280 of them yesterday to a coin shop for about $26 each? Does that sound about right? Everyone of them we’re in perfect condition
Comment from : AMO4X

IBuildDBS
go where your dollar gets best deal and to heck with AE'sCapitalism at its best

Comment from : The Silver Sphincter

Aurelian Titirisca

Comment from : Aurelian Titirisca

William Hearn
US Mint has NO Silver Eagles for sale right now Even the bullion sites like JM Bullion, SD Bullion, MoneyMetals, and others are short on ASEs Many other sites have NONE
Comment from : William Hearn

Fireworxs2012
bIt's called GREED Stop buying them, the price will fall Keep overpaying, the price will go up If you really want to see what's going on at the old Coin Shop Buy a tube of eagles, sit on them for a month, sell them back to the same shop, see what they offer you All the sudden those "HTF Eagles are falling out of the sky & the "premium" is a figment of your imagination Coin Dealers are some of the most dishonest thieves on the planet/b
Comment from : Fireworxs2012

Magoo Lew
Personally, I don't even like the looks of them That's just another reason I don't buy them They aren't even that nice looking to me I'd buy Maple Leafs before them
Comment from : Magoo Lew

Lester Chua
Silver coins are so “expensive” because spot prices are not a true reflection of the market price The premiums and spread is a convenient indicator of how much the exchanges are manipulating the price
Comment from : Lester Chua

Morticia Jo
May I ask, is there a difference between buying a 2022 year to a 2013, 2015, 2018 is there are difference? Obviously the same value just different years Thank you
Comment from : Morticia Jo

Comment from : Michael Monaghan

Zzygyy
I gave up on silver coins I just buy kilo bars Save money for one bar at a time These premiums are pathetic 2010 the premiums were 1 to 3 dollars depending on condition of ASE Kilo bars just feel better in the hand too 🤘
Comment from : Zzygyy

Bawdale
Here the UK, silver eagles you sell go for the same price as other 1oz coins of the same quality
Comment from : Bawdale

Daniel Melgoza
I'm American but hate these coins compared to maples, kangaroos, and the others American eagles suck the design is crappy I'm sure many will agree
Comment from : Daniel Melgoza

Comment from : xxjunkcollectorxx

Jason
They could raise the value a bit of face on the silver coins to help fix the problem
Comment from : Jason

TheColonel
Interesting, I do want one of these silver eagles, but my reason doesn't allow me to because for the same price I can get any other 1 oz silver coin + extra 1/4 oz silver coin like Britannia
Comment from : TheColonel

walter swanson
It's only going to get worse when you have a billionaire trying to buy up all the Eagles around Won't be much left for the rest of us at any price
Comment from : walter swanson

Michael McDaniel
I buy a few Eagles a year for collection purposes Otherwise I don’t touch them
Comment from : Michael McDaniel

Kratos Tomatoes
9:40 "It's implied" Yeah, no This stuff is laid out and meant to be taken very literally Nothing is ever 'implied' with this type of codified law
Comment from : Kratos Tomatoes

jasbinder singh
How come the royal mint can sell a beautiful coin like the one ounce silver brittania at only a few dollars above spot?brIt's a great coin , much better security than the Eagle and no shortages Makes zero sense buying eagles
Comment from : jasbinder singh

D 20
It’s high priced because you keep paying it……
Comment from : D 20

Comment from : uawsux

Starship Kadet
Also pretty simple, because boomers who are obsessed with us coins for some reason are willing to pay that much for them
Comment from : Starship Kadet

Tom Tharos
Cost of making planchettes is a part of the minting process They buy the silver at spot and pay for making planchettes and add it into their costs It’s really that simple
Comment from : Tom Tharos

Larry Pankey
Im with u I cant believe people are still paying such high amounts for Eagles I like getting more bang for my buck im buying what ever is the cheapest
Comment from : Larry Pankey

Tom Tharos
ASEs are expensive because AMARK has cornered the marketbrAMARK - 1 of 10 authorized purchasers from the US MintbrAMARK owns 45 of Sunshine Mint who makes the 1 oz gold and 1 oz silver planchettes for the US Mint There is a shortage of planchettes causing ASE prices to go up 🤔brAMARK also owns br100 JM Bullionbr100 Providentbr100 Silvertowne Mintbr49 Pinehurst CoinsbrIs buying 47 with option to increase to 75 - Silver Gold Bull aka Wall Street Silver 🤔
Comment from : Tom Tharos

SilverBack EL Torro
Silver is Silver no matter what stamp is on it
Comment from : SilverBack EL Torro

Manuel Gaetan
The high premium is because the paper and physical silver prices have unofficially decoupled
Comment from : Manuel Gaetan

Brian C
"Market Price" does not equal spot "World Average Price" does not equal spotbrbrThe verbiage is organic on purpose Also, the real research needs to revert to the stockpile that was mentioned Look at how that silver, and gold, is delivered to the authorized 3rd party mints to be converted into planchets The transportation both ways, plus what the mints charge, add to the net cost before arriving at the Mints brbrI am pretty sure the US reserves have a purchasing agreement That leads into why the reserves have shrunk I am sure the average costs of the reserves are well under spot, let alone market
Comment from : Brian C

Elizabeth Murray
Silver American Esgles are the most popular US coins are the most trustedbrSilver Canadian Maple Leaf is a little bit prettier Sorry to hear what you said about Silver Amrrican Esgles
Comment from : Elizabeth Murray

H Tub
UsMint silver 1oz eagles $6700
Comment from : H Tub

Peahead
I just heard from my LCS dealer the reason the US Mint is having trouble getting silver He said that under Federal Law the mint cannot buy silver for over the spot price In the past they have bought it for under spot because of the large quantities of purchase But now everyone is buying it for what they can get it for I haven't had time to research this, but it would take a change in Federal Law for the mint to buy over spot
Comment from : Peahead

iSid Fynch
I love your channel! I have learned so much from you brother Much appreciated!
Comment from : iSid Fynch

Paul Richards
What is their definition of "public" because it said nothing about "authorized dealers" brI smell a rat
Comment from : Paul Richards

James D
It says "sell to the public"why do we have to go through a middleman that marks up the coins?
Comment from : James D

Got Face

Comment from : Ray DanielIV

Ray DanielIV

Comment from : Ray DanielIV

DMR
I've stacked eagle's for years but past couple months I've been buying double of Canadian maple leafs
Comment from : DMR

CJ
The paper shorts are under the value of the physical so The conspiracy that makes sense in all of the issues of spot price value versus physical value is if they drove the price of the Of the paper it would equalize the value that physical silver goes for I know there’s more to that than that but that’s why were in this issue I believe the paper devaluing silver from the actual cost of physical bullion
Comment from : CJ

Luis Martinez
just went to my LCS and paid 32 for one eagle, I think I did ok considering spot went up to 20 bucks
Comment from : Luis Martinez

Chad Erickson
After seeing some of your videos SD, the wife and I got to talking about storing a small amount of silver, perhaps gold at the house I guess eagles are off the table and I'll go with bars, maples or britannias
Comment from : Chad Erickson

American Mom
"The United States Mint is currently reviewing and updating our requirements for becoming an Authorized Purchaser of United States Mint Bullion products During this review process, we are suspending the review of all applications until this process has been completed The Mint is actively working to complete this process in a timely fashion"
Comment from : American Mom

in·trac·ta·ble maskvp mGy
I'm new to this so thanks for clearing this up about the Silver Eagles SD Bullion is shipping me some lol There has to be certain advantages to the SE's over bullion and why one would choose coins or bullion
Comment from : in·trac·ta·ble maskvp mGy

Michael Pieters
Americans are too fixated on eagles Here in Europe, Austrian Philharmonics, Australian Kangaroos and South-African Krugerrands are way cheaper and the go to market
Comment from : Michael Pieters

David Ortiz
I prefer the newer Canadian Maple Leaf No milk spots Just as recognized Difficult to counterfeit Beautiful coin I prefer 4 nines over 3 nines
Comment from : David Ortiz

Lex🦠
Great stream, as always I appreciate the level-headed approach you take to the news and the markets A lot has changed and that's on everything but the truth is I don't even care much about bullish or bearish market anymore because Mr Richard got me cover as I am comfortably making 15B T C monthly
Comment from : Lex🦠

chamberlin
The spot must rise Comex is the culprit
Comment from : chamberlin

Wasatch Wizard
What if you bought a bunch of ASEs before the high premiums? Would you sell them to buy more kow premium silver?
Comment from : Wasatch Wizard

Donavon Robbins
Also, until somebody can prove otherwise, I feel the retailer is marking up premiums I don't know how the wholesaler can do it, since production is limited and they are likely to sell out in every situation That is their job The retailers likely mark up to the point of still having a turnover and not stagnating the sales
Comment from : Donavon Robbins

Donavon Robbins
Old news The mint has to but spot They just can't figure out how much to purchase when the write the contract So when they under estimate the volume, there is no incentive for the bullion dealers to sell below market rates, after the initial contract has been filled
Comment from : Donavon Robbins

Michael
I’ve said this in your other videos that you’ve posted disparaging the worthiness of silver eagles: The fact that ASE’s hold their value and maintain a high premium is exactly the reason why you should be buying them You seem to be very confused about this and it makes me laugh as you continue to stack near worthless silver bars as if having 1 ton of bullion silver is somehow magically better than having half a ton of minted silver that commands the same price You should always invest in the instrument that holds its value, no matter what! Bullion silver is essentially worthless outside of a silver dealership or maybe a jeweler Minted Eagles are valuable in the eyes of everybody! Do you understand? Sorry for the rant but you need to wake up and realize that you’re encouraging your viewers to invest in high volatility bullion and to stay away from the more stable ASE With the insane paper:physical ratio leveraging silver into an almost permanent downtrend, stacking non-collectible forms of bullion is tantamount to pure speculation/gambling
Comment from : Michael

Christian Andrews
I'll buy eagles (gold) haha
Comment from : Christian Andrews

Jason King
Ha! Remember silver and gold is money and governments say and do different things Metals can, do, and will NOT care where it come from or where it's going
Comment from : Jason King

Irreverent Warrior
No silver eagles for me I think premiums on a lot of coins are inflated I don’t have a local coin dealer so I have to rely on dealers Hero not to bad, you catch some on SD, I did sign up for military discount on JM bullion, Provident have not bought yet
Comment from : Irreverent Warrior

dejaydstone1
Scarcity creates Value! I’m buying eagles Gonna be valuable like Morgan’s
Comment from : dejaydstone1

Karen Perez
So locally they charge me in Burbank ca over spot 15 over spot so I’ve been paying fifty percent above
Comment from : Karen Perez

I think Uncle Sam may wish to place random places like say the sunshine mint on permanent tax audit status until purse strings loosen
Comment from : Eric S

Comment from : Weekly BULLION

Comment from : c

Shaun Corless
USA eagle ,s 50 dollers here in Scotland 2015 eagles for some reason 75 dollers each ,that's with there premium s and tax at 20 ,some one making serious money 🤑 but no tax on gold here ,👍
Comment from : Shaun Corless

NavyVet
I hate to say, but could it also be the authorized purchasers of the bullion coins from the mint aren't ordering as many from the mint in order to maximize the profit that can be had when supply is low? I'd assume that the mint is going to produce the minted bullion coins based upon the orders they receive from their authorized purchasers Either way, eventually the demand will decrease and the premiums will also come down on the ASEs Now isn't the time to be buying ASEs As you said, much better deals to be had with cast bars
Comment from : NavyVet

Frank The Tank
What about Maples? The premium is around $8!!
Comment from : Frank The Tank

Tyler Wright
So it says sell to the public That seems to indicate that selling to the public should be direct and not only selling to Authorized Dealers Authorized Dealers are not the public They are special wholesellers Someone should take the mint to court over this
Comment from : Tyler Wright

John
I’m stacking RCM 10oz bars and buffaloes
Comment from : John

Brooks Wilson
Confusing for sure My coin shop, I think, is selling the silver eagles and all silver at the board price; ie, $19+ at the the time of this writing plus a $9 premium per 1 oz coin So, $28+ at present
Comment from : Brooks Wilson

rlrowles
Why is the 2022 US Silver proof set $105?? Crazy high price
