Excellent information for prospective buyers who are confused about the kind of mobike one should choose I feel an ADV can fulfill multiple roles and may be preferred over other types By the way Royal Enfield ( india) is rolling out a 452 cc ADV named" HIMALAYAN"which is going to be a hot selling bike for biking afficianodes Would appreciate your views on HIMALAYAN which has unprecedented u tube videos and possibly you can check out if available Comment from : sudhansuranjan mohapatra |

some more types maybe not represented here arebrunderbonesbrbrunderbones are popular in SEA due to being cheap, lightweight, flexible (has gears but no manual clutch), has medium ground clearance (compared to scooters)brbrthe other two sub categories are maxi scooter (combination of Cruiser and Scooter), and classic naked bike (as opposed to sport naked bike) Comment from : BMO |

I just started riding a motorcycle this year and it's a Gixxer 150 Now that I know more about bikes I am attracted to cruiser bikes I don't want to die riding so a cruiser is best for me The comfy seat, a cool looking bike, and still be able to experience riding Honda Rebel's the cheapest in my country but soon I'll be riding an HD Fatboy Comment from : Noxk |
|
Love my scooter!I have a Honda PCX, and it's amazing I live rurally, so it's hard to find lessons, being easier to ride means I can teach myself, and it's very forgiving Comment from : Brambelle |
|
It's weird how Americans have this obsession with flat footing a motorbike while the rest of the world is taught to ride with one leg down which allows us to ride pretty much any bike no matter the size of bike or person Americans therefor miss out on a lot of different bikes they could have enjoyed if it wasn't for the flat foot obsession Comment from : Mike Tran |
|
I may be an exeption but i had a MT07 and now have BMW s1k and a 2007 superduke Both the MT07 and the Superduke my right shoulder starts to hurt after 1-2 hours of riding doesn´t happen with the "uncomfortable" superbike so there is no "this type of bike is more comfortable" it depends on the rider and his body Comment from : David Tautschnig |
|
Great video brLearned a lot !brI wish you would also include price range to really understand the investment in comparaison of power/ comfort brThank you :) Comment from : Stella Boue |

I've been a biker all my adult life I have been asked is a good bike to buy I feel sorry for people who mistake me for a motorcycle salesman I also have to wonder if these very same people wouldn't be better off just buying the clothes and hanging out on the sidewalk If you have to ask, just wait here on the sidewalk The bus will be here shortly Comment from : Helm |

There's the Honda Cub / C90 and variants, too Closer to a scooter but also a bit more of a "normal" bike Can be had in "scooter" (restricted speed) flavour or as a faster bike (though not very fast!) Incredibly common around Asia, in Vietnam there's millions! Old ladies used to ride them in the UK, but later all got Kias Comment from : World Comics Review |

For every new rider that doesn’t know what to get hear me out (specially taller riders) my first bike was a BMW F800GSA an adventure bike what I had to tippie toe at 6ft My second bike was a triumph Daytona 676 super fun bike but if your like me and you have bad self control I highly advise staying away from any sports bikes and I’ll come back to this in a bit, 3rd bike was a DR650 basically a powerfull dirtbike that’s street legal (great for city riding and high mpg, cheap and bullet proof, terrible on the freeway) my current is a 2020 Vstrom 1050 XT Up until the Vstrom the BMW adventure was my favorite It was still faster than 95 of the cars I came across and effortlessly went up to speed, I found it is so much easier to lean adventure bikes despite them being heavier, they felt a lot more balanced and kinda just fell smoothly into turns until they balance themselves They are so comfortable to the point where I just ride my VStrom on 4 hour rides crossing states every weekend despite having a trailer and a car that gets me 40 MPG Back to the sports bike they are so fun to ride but are geared to be fun at higher speeds, by the time you start to smile you’re Alr going 95 MPH and shit can go south really quick, my advice is to give adventure bikes a genuine consideration because I promise you there’s nothing as bad ass as rolling around anywhere you want on a tank that feels like as light as a dirtbike Great starter adventure bikes would be the brbrTenere 700 (not the best for highway without sprocket regearing, more leaning on the off-road adventure bike)brbrSuzuki Vstrom 800 DE ideal for a little bit of everything with an MSRP of 10500 newbrbrAnd many more include the V strom 1050 (has 3 riding modes and 3 modes of traction control, very practical to grow into and pretty forgiving) Comment from : ziad ajam |
|
Naked bikes are the best do anything motorcycle Ride to work , tour or hit the twistys all that in a comfortable seating position Comment from : Chris Dadigger |

How to choose a bike:brStep 1: uproot your life, move to JapanbrStep 2: buy a CB400 (Super Four or Bol Dur… your choice)brStep 3: know that this bike is 90 as fast as a sport bike and 90 as comfortable as a cruiserbrStep 4: enjoy life with no regrets Comment from : David McLeod |

Comment from : Adriel Alvarado |

I like Cruisers and Sport Bikes I want to one day have one of each I just don't know what to get first I am not really into the Touring Bikes They are the Old Person Motorcycle as their vibe, and it's just too dressed and too creature comfort oriented, like it's trying to be too much like an Open 2 Wheel Car Adventure bikes are okay, but they just don't suit me They have too much of a Euro Vibe, which isn't my style at all I feel they are a too heavy too dressed Sport Bike Scooters aren't my thing Just too slow, too boring, and the automatics just make the experience bland Dirt Bikes are cool I would own one if I was more in the country but I am not, so it'd be more a waste of money and would sit more than being ridden, and I am not really into the Dirt Bike on the streets thing The first Standard Style bike first covered in the video is cool, but I like a Fairing Motorcycle over a Naked Style, so I will just revert to Sport Bike That's my overall take on this video, and yes it did help me understand the different classes of bikes Comment from : IOI SIXER |

If you’re over 5’6” tall don’t get an older model Vulcan 900 unless it’s pre 2000’s I bought a 2009 for $3,000 with 14,000 ish miles on it thinking it was a steal even though it had been dropped once and the exhaust and jugs make it a very hot ride Aprillia does a better job at not catching clothes on fire Comment from : Connor |

It's so interesting learning about all these different types of motorcyclesbrI love how he is wearing a suit with matching coloured helmet and coat with the scooter, he looks so serene yet so cool and handsome The other bikes give him a rugged to sporty and masculine appearance, and the scooter gives him the gentleman, fatherly and romantic appearancebrbrBeing a very short Asian dude (5'3") and also a new rider, I ride a scooter motorbike, my feet just barely touch the ground (a little bit tiptoe) and my bike is already pretty low, but it's still comfortable compared to other bikes I also have to learn to ride on semi-automatic underbone bikes, as that's the most popular in my country and also used in driving schools and motorcycle test Comment from : Maximilian Isaac Lee |
