What a complete joke, this should be titled "The most reliable SMALL car Comment from : Gordon Hamilton |
I think you left out skoda Believe it or not, regardless of being under the VW umbrella they have higher than average reliability compared to other euro manufacturers, and cheaper to maintain than most Comment from : Adam Sitar |
Hmmm - most of the cars in the list are small city cars, which leads me to suspect there's a bias in the scoring system employed - ie cheaper cars have less equipment to go wrong The possibility of bias in the dataset itself shouldn't be discounted either - ie it's possible that cheaper/smaller cars are more likely to be sold with a warranty from WarrantyWise than larger/more expensive cars Comment from : paul d |
Fix It Again Tomorrow Can't believe it made the list Comment from : Frank the Frenchie |
Yaris is ranked 13th? I've never been more doubtful Comment from : Mr NoName |
And how much money did Kia/Hyundai pay you to say they are reliable? I've been a mechanic since 1997 and can say without question Korean cars are up there as been pure and utter junk as they agelook on the roads and see how many 10 year plus are still on the roads! You guys should be shut down for the shit you talk! Comment from : Ciaray Boy |
I dont trust a list without the Toyota corrolla Comment from : Gemparrot 29 |
Honda for the win! As a single woman, reliability is super important to me brbrI drive Honda Civics and have had a great experience with them Drove my ‘02 Civic LX for 18 years with only one mechanical breakdown in all that time (I had only a total of 3 breakdowns in 18 years One was tires and the other was the battery) brbrJust bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring Love the car and am looking forward to many more years of driving with it Honda is awesome! Comment from : Michelle Nightengale |
why are shitty looking cars are always the most reliable? lol the MX-5 being the exception that one looks good! Comment from : Black Shade |
I've had three Honda Jazzes, and never had a serious fault with any of them All cars are far more likely to be reliable if operated correctly and regularly maintained, however Comment from : Nigel R |

Had a Honda Civic 08 plate, and yes the Aircon failed needing a new compressor £1000 at the same time my wife had a Peugeot 107, and yes it was plagued with electrical issues Comment from : SuperMozzman |
Toyota yaris where???!! Comment from : Vbhhh Fffrghj |
It is noticeable that the cars mentioned here are mostly compact vehicles, which inherently have fewer features, resulting in fewer potential breakdowns The more features they have, the higher the likelihood of something going wrong However, drawing general conclusions at this point would be unwise Comment from : Florian |
Isn't the whole thing flawed? you have not included those with less than 100 warranty claims - yes it could be that there are not many of that type sold BUT it could also be because they didn't have any faults! Therefore the most reliable cars have been excluded as a result Comment from : John Short |
A lot of cars from the "T" brand 🇯🇵👍 Comment from : Veselin Kostov |
Perodua myvi definitely will top on the first if it got recognised!!! Comment from : abraham vincent |

You pick a fiat (fix it again tony) as one of the most reliable????? They were so bad that fiat pulled out of North America Comment from : vintagehaynesflute |
Did they take in consideration that almost all of these cars are family or city cars that someone grandmom or sister drives, it not some jackass who thinks he is Ayarton Senna (BMW, Audi, Merc) and also that one avarage repair on these cars is as exepnsive as full price of new ones from list?😂 Comment from : Jośe |
if it wasnt for the bmw engine inside the rav4 it would have been much much higher up the list Comment from : dafff08 |

Honda jazz i own is extreme, it drives and brakes wonderfully, is comfy, small outside and spacious inside Love that car, nothing to do with my previous BMW e46 which i spent 10000 € in repairs on 5 years ownership and 15000€ in petrol for 90000 km Comment from : Alec-s |

If you drive safely and appropriately follow the owner's manual, do the maintenance properly on time at reliable dealers, maintain the paint, and wash the car regularly, any car will last for a long time I had my Yaris and sold it 200,000 km later, if I remember correctly, I only needed to change the batteries twice, brake pads once, and wheels three times (maybe), and the car still looks brand new, even the interior cuz I used the seat covers and do detailing often Comment from : Jack A |
If you are buying a used Mercedes with the new OM654 engine be aware it's design causes it to fail around 110000-140000 miles (possibly not though if you do all a lot/all motorway driving) The reason, every time you interupt a regeneration diesel is mixed with the oil diluting it down, causing bearing failure, timing chain failure shortly after and possible bottom end damage The repair bill can be £1500-£4000+ depending on what fails I don't know if other manufacturers inject diesel to Regen the DPF So be wary Comment from : Steve N |
