11 mil net worth isn’t going to get you maid, cook and jet Taxes take a chunk each year General expenses take a chunk The cash flow just doesnt work You need strong cash flow outside higher than your model to justify that standard of living Overall, a good video Comment from : Brett Lamont |

In case it helps someone: I made it to the top 20 even though I had a modest income (peaking about $75K) and raised three boys completely by myself A key for me was staying out of debt and getting my house paid off My peers were paying $1500 or more per month to banks for mortgage loans, car loans, credit card interest, with the latter being the craziest What a difference it made for me when everything was paid off and, instead of living sort of month to month, I had all this extra money at my disposal The modest good moves I made in stocks outweighed the dumb ones I put money in a mutual fund, too And I was amazed at how the money grew I guess another factor is that I’m not heavily into material things I live in a nice house that’s less than I can afford Why should I have a bigger house than I need? I drive decent, safe cars, that I paid for in cash I spend money on travel, and hobbies (such as photography) Once my final kid is done with college in a year, my net income will be about $5-6k a month from SS and a pension, with quite a bit invested, and literally no debt It’s more money than I need but, again, $60k cars, designer clothes, show off houses—that stuff doesn’t mean anything to me Having fun and staying healthy are the priorities Comment from : Mr MojoRisen87 |

Newsflash: $11M isn't ultrawealthy Not in high cost areas like California/NY Betcha half the people on my street have higher networth Most are lawyers/doctors/businesspeople driving 5 yr old mid-range luxury cars (Mercedes/BMW etc) - no Rolls/Ferraris Nobody feels ultrawealthy, of that I can assure you Maybe if you get to $100M, you might begin to feel ultrawealthy Comment from : ArthurDentZaphodBeeb |
