If you need a roll of quarters, money order or cashiers check, you need a walk in bank Of course I can't remember the last time I got a money order or cashiers check, but I do go in to my bank to get quarters sometimes

Graham, At your recommendation, I checked out RedNeck Bank/All America Bank I have moved most of my financial resources to All America Bank where I can now make 305 interested on Mega Money Market < $ 50,000! Chase is paying 001 which is nothing and rather embarrassing I live in FL so Redneck Bank/All America Bank looks like it will be a great option I have made my chase and All America Bank accounts externally linked so I can transfer between the two banks easily I am guessing I will keep a small amount of funds in Chase because I have my safety deposit box at the local branch I'm looking forward to seeing Redneck/All America Bank grow

I have Capital One accounts, no costs I had Citi until they sold off all their branch offices Cap One does have limitations I needed to open a probate estate account they don't handle that I used Chase, they made it very simple, with a 350K deposit they treat you very nice After the estate was settled, I closed the account and have never been back My wife uses Ally and likes it a lot Ally is online only which isn't always enough for me

Yes, debit cards are not good for regular purchases, but they are great for P2P money transfers like Venmo, PayPal & Facebook Pay So maybe have both & use each to its strengths
