K12 is not homeschool AT ALL It is public school Complete and full public school just done at home online So you have never homeschooled before I am glad you are quiting public school and will start homeschool The earlier you make the switch the better! Homeschool is a totally different education And a much better education I taught in public school for 22 years

We are doing K12, today is the 3-4 week We’ve had this really mean teacher Yesterday she snapped on 2 kids (one was my child!) today we logged on the class connects and had a new teacher (who was great!!!) and now no teacher is showing up as our Homeroom teacher in OLS We go out of town all next week so I’m trying to figure out what is going on so I can let whoever know! I asked the lady today twice if she is the new teacher and haven’t heard back I also emailed the mean lady yesterday afternoon and haven’t heard anything back Has anyone had an experience like this?? What’s going on?

Texas has both options Private and public Depending on the time of year when you try to enroll you might not see the public options That happened to me when I tried to enroll It was to early

As a French, this is the first time I heard of K12 school In my mind, school is made of desk, school book, learning material and teacher We are sensible to the environment If we are home schooling with a computer, we can't adapt I cannot think me studying in this place

We started K-12 shortly into the 21-22 school year they are doing great but I have 3rd grader and 1st grader also a Kindergartener in the fall the boy's are doing great straight A's but it takes us a full day everyday and the class connects are spread out all over the day and it's so hard to sit the children down for lunch all together so I guess that's the worst thing I can say so far so I'm pleased for now as well Also I'm still discovering new things all the time that helps me get more organized

I just heard from another homeschool mom about K12 and I’m considering starting my 5th grader January We live in NY so we don’t have the public school option We have to pay for k12 academy which is private so it’s around $500-$600 monthly

For the person that asked you a questions from texas We are doing K12/4th grade in tx, and we had the free option of public online school or private onlineschool We choose the free public option and from there we were given 2 different schools option If you are not sure or have questions the best thing to do is to give them a call Hope this helps

We start K12 October 21st , once the mask mandate went into effect our son stayed sick, he was fine at the beginning of the year when we didn't have to wear it He said he didn't want to go back to school and that he was tired of being sick all the time

I'm about to begin Easy Peesy Homeschool curriculum It has really good reviews and it's FREE You can do work online or print out the lessons You can even BUY the workbooks on Amazon and they are vert affordable (I saw some for $5) I am doing doing this while I wait for my kid's enrollment with Springs Charter School to process However, if my kids really enjoy this program, I may just keep them here Springs is secular but you do have many options for choosing the curriculum They have a homeschool enrichment where they can go to a campus a couple days a week and take classes in all subjects plus electives They also have a hybrid program where your kids go to school a few days a week and do independent work at home on the other days

I live in South Carolina and under K12 they give us the option for a public virtual charter school or a cyber academy with stride career prep I think I prefer the virtual charter school option

Charter schools aren't really a thing in WA so I'm not 100 how they work Is the school you're going through still a free charter school like a public school or is it more private/tuition based?

The Texas issue is a state legislature issue Texas prohibits virtual school for grades K-2 They amended the law during the pandemic to allow the younger grades since the schools were closed but that amended law has expired so no K-2nd public virtual options in Texas 😥
