I’m a sophomore and I’ve been going to public school my whole life but I have some issues with school and some mental stuff going on so me and my parents have been looking at options k12 came up im a bit nervous since my parents don’t want to homeschool me but the other options are to far away and both my parents can’t speak English I’m not sure how it will work out any tips or info that might change their mind?☺️

I was homeschooling my son during the pandemic in la but now since I was moved back here I don't really like the school in Sacramento district they are very poor and run down and i don't like that the kids don't even have decent school so I just put him in the k12 school I'm not really understanding what to do because the device are different okay and they gave our kids brand new I pad s in la

You get to see other students online, they have updated their online classroom from blackboard to newrow (still has MANY glitches, honestly, blackboard was better) The schedule is VERY flexible, just make sure you get work done by the deadline This is good for people who do not want to go in person due to viruses, have multiple tasks to get done outside of school, or just desire to learn on their own They do not have many arts or musical subjects, and you mostly do that on your own time You do not get to talk to students in person a lot about PERSONAL thinga unless you ask your learning coach to talk to their learning coach, as we are not allowed to give information out such as social medias and etc We can discuss topics and see one another, and they offer hangouts so you can chat with other students :) I hope this helped As a student, k12 offers online school in every state in America I believe, I do k12 from another state They have k12- California, K12 Arizona, and etc

5 to 7 hours a day !!!!? Wow that is excessive in my opinion I have homeschooled my son for 6 years and have learned that homeschooling gave us freedom In fact the last 2 years have been more of unschooling This program is just public school online I don’t want people to think that homeschooling is this Being glued to a computer all day is not what I what consider homeschooling I’m glad that this public online schooling works for some families

My kid was starting in school set up about 2weeks ago but I got terrified yesterday when I got a call if they want me to swab test my daughter bec she was within the same parameter of a kid tested positive that day Good thing my daughter tested negative So my husband and I decided to just put her back in homeschooling Hopefully CAVA is a good choice for us

If my daughter is a junior, will she be able to do this at home without me? Are there lessons and help for her to teach herself the lessons? She is very smart and makes straight A's in school, but due to some mental health issues, she needs to take this year away from public school I'm a single mom and a teacher, so I can't quit my job to stay at home with her She did virtual school through our school last year and still made all A's Our school is no longer offering virtual, so I'm looking for a program she can complete mostly alone She will be going to a good friends home each day so she won't be alone, but she will need a program she can go through by herself

Honestly this is amazing I have social anxiety and I hate being at in person school I really want to do this program this year!
