So i found a 1983 copper coin, I know cause I weighed it and compared it to a wheat cent, they were exactly the same size, I also had a regular 1983 zinc coin and the difference between them is very clearbrUnfortunately that coin along with my no date penny and a few other coins got ruined by water damage but not my much, I think it might be possible to use a weak acid to clean the surface, at this point I do not care if I loose value on the coins from cleaning them, I just wanna fix them up to a certain standardbrbrEdit: when I mean clean i don't mean scrubbing the surface that will ruin the coin Comment from : What do I name this channel |
Love the junk silver hunts! There's just so much history in those coins and the mystery of going thru them the first time around is so exhilarating! Cool draped bust cent find even with the "slash" marks on the front That '26 SLQ had great detail on it which is tough to find in that coin Thanks for sharing the fun, Rob!!! 😁😃😁 Comment from : Silver Chupacabra |

All the common dates of all the older coins-barbers, mercs, walking & standing libertys, are very worn I would guess they are at best 95 original weight and many are more likely closer to 90 How are these valued? Isn't going by X Face Value unrealistic since that value assumes 715 ozs per $10 FV and these coins are surely more like 65 to 68 ozs per $10 FV? Comment from : Rufferto |

I went to a local coin shop today to see if they had a tray of common 90 Washington quarters I could go through to put in a book They said no we no longer allow that, you can either buy the carded coins, or give me the dates and I'll pick and price them for you I was thinking what a bunch of tools, and what kind of a coin shop doesn't have just common coin bins at a fixed price! Won't be going back ever again to that place Comment from : Ryan Campbell |
