My mother would fall into any MLM scheme that approached her (she was a wonderful mix of unthinking, unable/unwilling to say no, and willfully deaf to criticism) and I remember her trying an offshoot of herbalife (I want to say it had blue in the name, but it was the same exact containers and shakes) The real kicker? She did it because I'm type 1 diabetic and she thought that replacing breakfast with those was better for mebrI was too young to read the label myself, but it most certainly was not

Hey hey hey… Talk all the crap you want about MLMs, but leave Tupperware out of it!!! That is about the only product sold in a MLM-y way that is worth its weight in gold! They are so tough and so long lasting that I literally bought all of mine from antique stores and I use them every day! They are virtually INDESTRUCTIBLE!!! I only need to replace mine when people fail to return them to me when I give them food in them! I even have the little key-chain mini one that they used to give the salespeople back in the day! (And I even trust my stash in it cuz the lid never comes off in my purse! And my purse can somehow open child-proof medicine bottles all the time!!!!) I LOVE TUPPERWARE!!!!! And I WILL die on that hill too! (The rest of the MLMs can go though…) Oh and by the way, that crappy dollar store container you had in the video, IS NOT real Tupperware!!!

So i haven't watched your video on JW yet But the bit at 27:27 is interesting It's a religion with MLM-like traits Often it offers a "product" a "Free At-Home Bible Study" but it's barely about that at all The actual product is the JW Lifestyle, which includes going out and offering people that same product And you're encouraged to base your entire life around doing so

Essential oils are very powerful and not something to be scoffed at Citrus essential oils add such a bright and brilliant flavor for homemade soda, but they are very powerful and can easily overwhelm flavors Bitter almond essential oil can make your cakes taste absolutely like perfume if over used Essential oils are very powerful flavors and must not be scoffed at and used with reckless disregard when cooking They are really cheap to buy at a bulk food store and I find it humorous people spend so much money on them for strange reasons

A friend of mine was talking to me about a former highschool classmate that became a door to door tupperware salesman brbrHe started explaining how said former classmate made money, such as recruitment, and when I tried explaining that what he is describing sounds like an MLM scheme and he went into a state of cognitive dissonance and completely denied entertaining the idea It was good that he was just leaving because things immediately became awkwardbrbrIt's pretty shocking that, despite how well known they are, so many people really don't know what an MLM is

People who use home remedies to scam people is extremely irritating to me For example, tea tree essential oil does help with infections in your mouth; I have used it for such and experienced the results But companies like Young Living charging an arm and a leg and making unfounded claims is beyond the pale
