I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifleI have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the wwwyoutubecom/post/Ugkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done wellWith this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildingsFor my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distanceFor the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy

100 Traceability is the #1 most important thing there is This is common sense You missed the boat on this one

Great work! I recently bought the Athlon 8-34, but mainly for 50 yd benchrest The SFP options for ARA-type factory class are pretty slim these days with a moderately-priced rifle Thankfully, the reticle thickness (my biggest concern with this scope) at max magnification doesn't seem to interfere with the target bulls at all br brThis is now the most expensive scope I own, but it's built like a tank and fits perfectly on my 457
Comment from : upStomp

Patrick
I shoot targets between 10 and 55 yards with a 10-50x60 scope and I never change from maximum magnification And all offhand No prone or bipods allowed

Patrick
No love for the Element Helix?

Tom you are the "salt of the earth" kind of guy and that's what I like I truly believe if there were more people like you in this country, we would not even be thinking about the things you just talked about There would be more respect for each other because we would deserve it Our elected officials, would be people with integrity and a genuine respect and love of this country, and the citizens that live here You are the kind of person that keeps my faith that there is light at the end of the tunnel and the kind of person I'd be proud to call my friend, if I actually knew you in person keep up the good fight and a great channel

rey
What’s your recommendation on the bushnell match pro, the illuminated or non-illuminated one? Thanks
Comment from : rey

Mike K
How many mils was available after your zero? I went with the same setup I got about 45 mils of upper adjustment
Comment from : Mike K

Joost Prins
To bad you don’t have the Konus Pro F30 6-24 or 8-32 x 56, mil, 10m, 0,1 milbrAnd it was indeed very close to zero to 50 m with a 30 moa rail, but still got 5 klicks left
Comment from : Joost Prins

Andy Jame
Always

George Hager
Match Pro 6-24 does NOT have a zero-stop
Comment from : George Hager

Common Sense
The new Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56 sold direct to consumer from Bushnell for $69999 sure looks like a winner even if it's made in China I try not to buy anything made in China to not support the Communist CCP and help fund their military Even US branded Chinese made goods contribute to the Chinese CCP government who gets paid their cut from their own domestic Chinese manufacturing and export industry
Comment from : Common Sense

Ryan Lewis
Your decision matrix lists “yes” for zero stop on the Bushnell, but their website says no Does it in fact have that feature?
Comment from : Ryan Lewis

Common Sense
An unknown diamond in the rough is the AYIN Reaper 6-24x50 FFP 30mm for $159 shipped and is nicer than the Athlon Argos and Vortex Diamondback Tactical It's comparably closer to the Bushnell Match Pro
Comment from : Common Sense

KYLE CHARTERIS
VORTEX VENOM should it be up on the list?

Cary Brown
I'm in the process of getting outfitted for nrl I have never shot any kind of sanctioned match in my entire 55 years of life but I have shot matches with the boys at the range both high power and rim fire I recently found out about the 22 matches and decided to give it a try Im a run what you brung kinda guy but I did order a ruger precision in 22lr but I haven't purchased a competition scope yet, I've been using a nikon prostaff 4x12 bdc and the spot on app and it is a killer for for squirrels out to about 60 yards I use it at the range and have alot of success against my shooting buddies Would it be ok to use a scope like the one I described above until I find something I like? I'd like to maybe talk to a few guys that do these 22 matches to find out pro and con stuff before I buy another scope
Comment from : Cary Brown

cliff cox
Soooo can it go down to 10 yards? I need a scope that I can interchange w my air gun
Comment from : cliff cox

RI CA
have you considered this one ? Arken SH4 Gen 2 6-24X50 Scope Also MOA or MIL?
Comment from : RI CA

Michael Leopold

Jim Jones
I was impressed with this video and your knowledge of scopes and I have a very simple question but it's very confusing for me when there's an up Arrow on the turret that says turn the arrow that direction and it goes up I am confused on what goes up does your aim go up or does the radical go up which would make your aim lower can you please clear that up for me thank you
Comment from : Jim Jones

Toimu13
I was looking at NRL base class, decided on the rifle and scope you picked! I thought it was because I'm bias towards Ruger and Bushnell, but glade to see others are choosing them for performance reasons!brbrI thought about the Arken Optics 5-25X56mm FFP MIL VPR Reticle ($565), but the minimum parallax is 25 yards
Comment from : Toimu13

txrcnoob
Thank you for the video I got the cz457 varmint so with the current rules im looking at something 520 and under
Comment from : txrcnoob

Arthur Dirindin Jr
One currently very affordable at under $300 scope that will work very well for both NRL and ASA is the FFP Arken SH4 gen2 6-24×50 brIt has a Christmas tree style reticle with a dot vs straight cross hair is available in MOA or MILLs IMO a MOA reticle is better for shooting 22lr vs MILLs has target turrets and zero stopbrEssentially everything one needs to shoot both NRL and ASA targets and be as capable as any other scope in the <$500 price range Arken has a lifetime warranty and excellent CSbrWell worth your consideration

theAnalyst
Thanks for the vids I'm looking to get started and this helped immensely Already subscribed 👍

Michael Bae
I find the vortex venom is also a good contender It has a lot of the features you're looking for
Comment from : Michael Bae

Joe D
The reticle is way too thick on the Athlon scopes mentioned
Comment from : Joe D

Esteban Herrera
I'm curious how/why you left the Arken SH4 off this list? Lately, it seems to be part of every 'base class' conversation on scope choice
Comment from : Esteban Herrera

Common Sense
I missed out on the Bushnell Match Pro for $375 or was it $325? Sounded like it would have been worth trying I really like my Engage and Forge and Nitros They were all on sale at extremely good too good to pass up prices at 50 to 70 off when I decided to buy them
Comment from : Common Sense

CanuckC13
Been waiting patiently for this build! Hard to find many reviews in regards to this scope though… Hoping to get some honest feedback from you!
Comment from : CanuckC13

Chris Lacher
Beginner Question: The Ruger has 30 mil cant built in, but the scope has max internal adjustment of 18 mil Doesn't that mean you can't get back to horizontal?
Comment from : Chris Lacher

Come on Sense
Given two of the best warranties in the business, I'd stay away from Vortex and just buy Athlon Less chance of poor quality control and failure
Comment from : Come on Sense

Tony
The combined price threshold for base class should be increased to accomodate scopes not made in China brBeyond being shit, we shouldn’t be support manufacture from a country that’s actively taking manufacturing off shore brVote with your wallet
Comment from : Tony

mister_nobody
i'm heading to gunsite tomorrow for the sunday match good luck with yours!

But how is the glass? I had a Bushnell scope and hated it because the glass was terrible
Comment from : Shane Lofton

Baseball bros
Arken ep5 should definitely be added
Comment from : Baseball bros

Vance Wonser
Getting ready to buy so really appreciate it!
Comment from : Vance Wonser

Wise Sage
My choice is the Element Helix, I prefer it over the Vortex I have not tried the others Give it a check
Comment from : Wise Sage

Nick Giordano
The features of the Bushnell can't be beat but their warranty and customer service is horrible I Bumped the scope on a stage prop and damaged the magnification knob Bushnell said it wasn't covered Vortex and Athlon both have amazing warranty and I would caution anyone against buying a Bushnell When you buy a Vortex or Athlon your buying a scope for life
