I speak English with a Canadian accent and I don't feel that any of these words are difficult to pronounce Canadian English, like American English uses the rhotic 'R', also called a hard 'R' I suspect I have less trouble pronouncing a number of these words because I use the rhotic 'R' Those words would most notably be: Rural, squirrel and deteriorate In fact, I would have to carefully practice pronouncing those words with a soft 'R' as used in most accents in EnglandbrbrI also note that I pronounce the word 'thorough' rather differently from Katherine I pronounce the word as 'thuh-ROW' rather than 'thuh-ruh' I pronounce the 'ROW' part as 'row' as in 'a row of lowers' rather than 'the argument was a major row'brbrI have the impression that Katherine aims her videos at people who are learning English, rather than those who are native speakers Comment from : DrZook |

None of these words presented is difficult to pronounce What may be difficult is figuring out the correct pronounciation if you are not familiar with these words KNOW THE CORRECT PRONOUNCIATION AND IT IS EASY-GOING br"Ophthalmologist" is more difficult to pronounce than any of the words presented here An 'f' sound followed by a 'th' sound is difficult, that's why some people use a 'p' sound followed by a 't' sound as it is much easier Comment from : Glenroy Walrond |

Lovely accent you have! I always liked everything British so much and try to improve my spoken British further, so I’m happy to have found the channel brbrSo actually apart from maybe Wocestershire, I didn’t find any of these words very hard to pronounce Even if I maybe don’t always get it precisely right, I knew how they should sound brbrIn fact, my most hated word to pronounce is actually: PURCHASING!!!brbrI’m working as a buyer and everytime I have to use that word I say it with a German emphasis on the second syllable instead of the first one!!brI have to force myself to say „purr-che-sing“ instead of the rather German sounding „per-chaesing“😂😂😂brbrI pronounced it wrong when talking to a Texan and he didn’t understand at all what I meant I hate that word 😂 Comment from : Pattis Karriere Karten |

Such words are not at all difficult to pronounce if you have studied English language 's phonetics brTeaching foreign people how to pronounce English words correctly requires showing them how the articulators work together to produce sounds, such as the parts of the tongue, lips, gum ridge, teeth, hard palate, soft palate or velum, the front, the middle, the back of the mouth, take part in the pronunciation of such words , how the air comes out of the mouth, the nostrilsbrbrTelling them vaguely how to pronounce susch words is similar to how to teaching a parrot to repeat after someone without having any clue of how and why they should use the articulatorsbrbrActually, in order for you to pronounce English words correctly and elegantly or attractively, you have to study the language 's phonetics to understand how different sounds, such as English consonants and vowels, voiced, voiceless, retroflex, alveolar, apico-alveolor, post-alveolor, palato-alveolor, palato approximant, voiceless and affricative, lateral fricative, bilabio, labio-dental sounds are created with the articulatorsbrPhonetic charts and pictures of the articulators can also be used as illustrations to help learners to absorb the lessons well and easily brbrThat's how a professional teacher of English language teaches the language Comment from : Van sf |
|
Funny thing, most of the words are French, which is LatinbrWe cannot speak like you, we speak what we speak, I don't understand some of your dialects brThe aussies, ga day, truth is that our common language, the English language, is at least 50 French, which French is a variant of the Latina Vulgata Comment from : Alex Haplau-Colan |
