This is just making me more and more jealous because I live in Hong Kong and the best place to go for PC stuff is Golden Computer Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui

The hardest part in a build is the peripherals for me 3 years ago I bought a new keyboard and mouse and I hated the way the keyboard felt I returned it and got a different one and it was better but still not great I kept it because I needed a new keyboard At micro center you can actually try the stuff out and feel the products before you buy them I know there is one coming to North Carolina but please bring one to myrtle beach SC

Wish Micro Center would expand into the UK market We have nothing like Micro Center here The closest would be PC World but their stores are not on the same scale We only have indie computer stores with online presences Like Scan, AWD-IT, and so forth It would be a waste of a day travelling to my nearest PC World to buy a NZXT AIO for example as I know for a fact it won't be there on the shelf

Micro Center is a modern day "David vs Goliath" success story in that it's outlasted almost all of the national computer store chainsbrbrEven in the age of online shopping and post-COVID scarctiy they are still going strong

Tustin is my local micro center as well! I hope one day I can run into you and introduce myself It is DANGEROUS that it is only a few minutes away from my apartment but I absolutely love it This place is absolutely massive and they always have every single thing I need When I went for the first time I was in shock This place is my personal heaven

my microcenter in virginia is tiny, wish it was bigger isle are cramped and its in a tiny old building no room for displaying cases either im also shocked they let you walk around with hardware mine you have to talk to a rep and they put it in a cage by the registers so you dont steal it

i wished for so long that there would have a microcentre in the UK, we used to have Maplins that was something similar but it closed its doors a few years ago so we are forced to go online now as theres nothing of the sorts anymore :/

There used to be on near me (SF Bay Area) Unfortunately they opened it up when Fry's electronics was a strong chain Heck, I used to work in that Santa Clara store I miss it, it was always the best place to buy cables, and any tech really I have been in the Tustin store like 25 years ago Next time we are in LA, I'll make sure we visit it

Sorry Jay - I am anything but a MicroCenter fan I like the idea but - they are often out of stock of various items 2 weeks ago they sent me an email offering the i9-13900k for $569 They haven't had it in stock in Chicago YET And of course, it's 'unavailable online' Tried to buy a motherboard today Website said in stock, but not in stock after I drove to the store I give up with them

The store in Dallas is a disappointment It’s to small Things in Texas are supposed to be big big big This store isn’t The location is poor It’s not impressive when you first walk in the door It doesn’t have that wow factor The staff weren’t the problem I wasted time and money coming to Dallas and I didn’t find what I wanted

This MicroCenter is in Tustin California is Orange County 20 mins away from Disneyland and it's basically 20 mins away from Los Angeles county cities one of the richest metropolitan areas in the USA 👌 Nvidia, AMD and Intel they're all based in California 👌

This MicroCenter is in SoCal and it's 20 mins away from me, I went there exactly a month ago on a Sunday to pick up (2) Radeon RX 6900 XT for $699(each) and the place was completely packed with people it kinda surprised me but I was out of there in 20 mins, this MicroCenter also had like 25+ RX 6900 XT's in stock 😳(and many other expensive GPU's in stock) People were buying 3080 ti's like if it was sugar 😂

PC heaven isn't this, it is rather a place where prices aren't only for the rich When 1 part becomes more expensive than entire high end gaming PCs from just 5 years ago, I knew it was time to exit PC gaming , well, modern PC gaming I now play legacy pc games as my 10 year old PC can only do so much I'v also got into retro console even though I am not too much of a huge fan of it I am pretty certain my gaming PC buying days are over, and no game or average number of games I would ever own is worth the pice tag Especially when today's low end systems will cost ya about as much as mid range gaming pcs had cost just a few years ago Hence it would be pointless to even bother with even a low end gaming rig Thus For those among us that can afford this, enjoy the bragging rights and street cred :)
