even in Indonesia has a lot the scam, pick pocket etc but they dont scam you at restaurant or street food placebrthey dont follow you around to buy their stuff, you do need to bargain most Asian country when you shop in the marketbrthanks for sharing

Lol i wanna see those scammers for real Jk brBeen to Thailand and Laos and even part of Europe and UK Scammers exist everywhere unfortunately Taxis, food/items givers, ladies in bars are the most common Now it’s easier to avoid them Use Grab/Uber and not taxis/tuktuk to go from point A to B Never accept anything that is given to you even for free And just be quiet in a bar, say you’re just there to relax and drink No one bother you In you happen to ride any shitty taxi or took something, give it back For the ride, just say you won’t pay or negotiate and if they don’t leave you, usually ppl around will know you’re being scammed and will help you if you call for help Most ppl are kind The locals will come help you from the scammers

Loved this one! HCM city is the worst for it I was ripped off a four times😫brbrSome of the locals say things like: "Same, Same" when the item is clearly not the same style They will play on your heart strings when you negotiate I reckon you should store your money in 3 to 4 different places Only carry a little on you when just ducking out to eat 🎯brbr😤We stayed at the Felix HCM they had some camera's that took photo's of us at about 3am while we slept, with a green flash, that woke us We worked it out to be in the set top box A AirBnb stay brbrCoconuts should be 15k to 18k, the sunglasses are never worth it! 💁🏼‍♀😂

All together I've stayed almost half a year in Vietnam Some eateries and drinkeries I've been to had no meny and definitely gave no bill They were all very cheap Girls coming up to me were flirtous by western standards They all wanted to talk and practise english Without being particularly suspicious I don't think I've ever been scammed Maby at times local people add some extra to the price It's so cheap anyway, they deserve the money I'm probably not a scammers target, looking too poor and clever

Unfortunately someone in every single country will try to scam you in some way However it is more prevalent in some countries than others I live in Vancouver BC Canada and yes many of the taxi drivers will try to scam you, miss an exit on purpose so the fare will cost you more or claim they don't have change so they end up with a larger tip

I went back to visit VN so many times, I traveled all over the country from North to South Twice, I went to Hanoi and so many cities and provinces in the North My second time I went all by myself and, I went to many places there I like to go to places that foreign tourist not frequent, just to see the real ways how the normal people live Before I went, my nephew in Saigon told me not to go, because I will be scammed everywhere I go I smiled and put out 100-200 USD for to be scammed At the end, I was very happy because I knew and allowed and told them that I knew them scam me, always with loving smile on my face I lost less than $ 50 and very happy at the end of my trip That's cheap for a peace of mind and a loving heart
