Cosmetic, face creams, makeup, detergent, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, kitchen stuff, like sandwich bags, aluminum foil, paper plates, dishwasher soap, household stuff, clothing, shoes, you did not count that in!? And that adds up too and is not free

I also am building a Youtube channel, and have gotten away from working at a coffee shop because of the coffee expense But historically, leaving my place has increased my productivity dramatically Your upbeat message has helped me realize it's worth it as an 'office' expense, and I plan to put 'office' expense into my budget this weekend, which is waay less than renting an actual work office, so thank you for framing it that way and helping me realize a change in scenery may be just what my business needs! Next week, i'm going back to my 'office,' which is a Cafe Ladro in West Seattle, a super pleasant environment, and a five-minute walk away! Video editing only allowed during that time!! Unless a cute guy walks in and seems interested:) Which almost never happened, but will serve as a carrot on a stick to get me there I looove your presentation and upbeat videos!!

Beside the rent, I dont think thats just this high bc its NYC Eating out, get coffee from a café, taking a taxi or whatever instead of using the public transportation would also cost that much in germany oh but a hair cut would be way less too

Coffee while fun is a huuuuge rip off, most people buy a coffee EVERY work day and most insist on "luxury coffee", which is $25 a week (if you don't tip), which is $1300 a yearand honestly thats low because most people buy a muffin, danish etc, so really double that $2600 a year in coffee is a nice resort trip After ten years ($26,000) thats a good chunk of change In a life time, $130,000 in coffee expenses (50 years) People don't see it that way, but we waste a LOT of money on impulse (popcorn at theatre great example)

Lived in NYC in early 2000s One thing I found odd is that restaurant food cost almost as much as making it from the grocery store Drinks were always expensive If you went to a restaurant for a cocktail and had the salmon it would be $12 for the drink and $12 for the entree My haircut was $14 I found an old school barber shop run by three Iranian guys who were hardcore Republicans Their shop was covered in anti Clinton and anti Bloomberg political comics It was really weird stepping out of liberal Manhattan into their little shop Great guys Great cuts too

Hey Taylor I am an Australian and have been to New York in 2018 I found some places pricey but some not too bad My Mum and I stayed Upper West side, but had a supermarket and deli across the road (well Broadway) and this saved us heaps Plus we were so busy out during the day that we just wanted to kick back in our drackie dacks (Aussie slang for sweat pants etc) and have a drink at where we stayed I love your videos on New York I can't wait to get back therewhen I have more money Cheers mate

OMG your food cost is extremely abnormally low You only eat like 1 yogurt and 1 salad a day That's like less than 1 meal for most people lol brAnd you didn't account for most of the "actual" living expenses including occassioal shopping Other videos (that you criticized as buying bulk and not accurate) is actually more close to the reality
