Hi, From NYC I am having similar issue, but mine is bathroom renovation I asked contractor to do the job and they said will finish within 2-3 weeks but been over 6 weeks and still continuing the job Wall tiles are not level so the shower glass doesn't align with the wall 90degree so I had to help the guy to install the shower glass and glass shattered on my both hands I got many cuts and 3 stitches on my left elbow I couldn't work for a few days I am graphic designer so i need my both hands to work Also tiles are not slope so the water goes everywhere, had to redo 4times So yesterday i told them to redo tiles and have to redo the wall they decline and want to terminate the project i told them i am not agree or signed any paper without my attorney The contractor company name is Novu Designs LLC

I deal with an idiot neighbor lady who hires construction men constantly for the past three years yo get a house nearby done and these people often park near my house and cause problems with parking The lady is ignorant and so are her men

More states are unlicensed than licensed, and data shows each state without have better rankings and data than those with licensing All these policies do are favor large corporate interest and state rent seeking by top 1 per centers who concentrate the industry Why is licensing so prevalent in these states but not in the south east? Preferential treatment much?

Despite licensing, there is no benefit to the public nor the state Licensing raise costs to consumers and limits competition, harming consumers Every state without license does not have these issues and they have far better rankings in homeownership and costs of living This states preference in licensing comes at a cost to the states citizens and consumers, who are faced with the self made artificial housing shortage and high prices which is directly caused by Utahs licensing laws

This happened to my parents , they gave 2 grand and the dude blocked their number We have them on camera exchanging the cash and also his license printed out and his plates and address We are serving him today with papers

This has become a common problem! People should share who they have worked with and if they honored their contracts or not brIt's been so hard to get anyone to start work in a reasonable time frame If they are eager to take your money and start a job right away you should be apprehensive
