I have had german made Zeiss scopes and medium range Leupolds and there is a huge difference from a 300 dollar sope The thing is for 80 of hunting or shooting is unnecessary

Interesting video Diminishing returns as far as what you get for the increased cost Unless you want to go with the automatic ranging features of some of these scopes, you can get about 95 of the features and quality for much less money Plus most of these scopes are more for long range precision shooting, not hunting due to their weight

One you pronounce Leupold incorrectlytwo I as an Oregon boy and someone who knows the family, they use to be an American made company, but not any longer, personally I'm a Vortex and Trijicon scope guy now

A cheap rifle scope (if not in good quality) can ruin a high end rifle So, I say check the manufacturer’s credibility first and I know Leupold is one of the best when it comes to quality but yeah theirs are always pricey
