I enjoy your videos and your references to your faith ( wich I share) in Jesus I'm in the process of assembling my field set I currently have the Franchi Instinct XL 12 and 20ga and will purchase the 28ga next spring The stiffness smoothes out with use and is integral to the seven year warranty design These guns are a lot of gun for the money in my view The auto safeties are easily dismantled but probably void the warranty Comment from : Winston Smith |

Great Review, Steve! brI have a matched pair of Franchi Instinct Side Plates (12 ga and 20 ga) with spectacular, drop-dead beautiful walnut stocks that appear to have been milled from the same billet The guns look identical except the 20 is 2 lbs lighter than the 12 and has different species of gold inlay birds on the case hardened action I need a 15" LOP, so I installed an 1/8" spacer and a Falcon Strike Custom-Fit Hydraulic Recoil pad to each gun It was you who turned me on to Falcon Strike! At first, I too thought the 12 (despite the extra weight) was a little rough on recoil until I installed the Falcon Strike Recoil is no longer an issue Comment from : RC |

Please review this, CZ Redhead Premier Target Over and Under Shotgun in 20ga Comment from : Edward Benedict |

Hi Steve, I bought my Franchi Instinct Sideplate a few months ago and I love it I went to Scheels to buy two Briley Chokes and I forgot to check the specs of the gun to find out what style of chokes to get I bought Mobil chokes and took them out to my club where my guns are stored and lo and behold, they dont fit the gun, even though the packaging says they fit Beretta, Benelli and Franchi I came back and tried to research what style of chokes this gun requires and I cant find it I'll call Franchi but if you happen to know, feel free to reply You mention at the 2:53 mark that you replaced with Carlson's sporting clays tubes Same question applies if shopping for Carlsons tubes, is there a compatibility chart I need to consider before buying? By the way, no issues with Extractors on my gun Ive put about 750 rounds through so far, mostly Fiocchi and some Rio training rounds, which Ive heard bad things about them expanding too much (after I bought 5 flats on sale) So far no problems ejecting the cheaper ammo Comment from : Guy Henninger |
Would you please 🙏 try marocchi mk2 over and under shotgun the new one ❤ Comment from : Su alhamed |
I have the Instinct L 20 Gauge and it has been perfecto for my use, Recreational clay shooting I also wouldn't think twice about using it for a upland hunting gun The gun does loosen up with use Comment from : Richard Sveum |
Lefty here Does the grip have any kind of palm swell? Would it be comfortable in the left hand? Comment from : Alex B |
I have the franchi sl and it is very stiff opening The first 100 rounds it would not eject at all but now I have put about 500-600 rounds through it the top ejects every time and the bottom one fails to eject about every 8 times but I have a lot more rounds through the top barrel I also had a problem with it not firing but after a few hundred rounds it’s not an issue Overall I like the gun a lot and like the fiber optic Comment from : Chase Smith |
maybe on the shell that didn't eject you hadn't broken open the gun as far as needed to eject both shells, since as you said earlier it was stiff and maybe needed to be broke in morejust saying!!! Comment from : Daniel Masset |
Have you tried any of the CZ over unders? Comment from : px4bbc771 |

I have the SL and it's an awesome upland gun Like you, though, it's pretty tough to break open completely I'm not a fan of the fiber optic as well, but it doesn't seem to interfere with getting on target I still love the gun and have had no issues 2 years into owning it Comment from : Jason Huerta |
I wouldn't say a 2000 dollar price tag is affordable at all Very nice looking shotgun though Comment from : Oregonsaw |

I have an Instinct L and have been enjoying it for 2 years now for grouse hunting I actually enjoy that fiber optic better than bead when hunting I felt it made target acquisition easier and faster Comment from : Dominic Gouveia-Fortin |
I agree with you - fiber optic at the range is fine, but hunting no - I have been a hunter for 19 years now and I have yet to see a fiber optic hold up to two hunts in Eastern Europe's ass hole especially and when our wild boars 🐗 get angry at you, you better be target focused or you die! Comment from : MrVuicho |
I wish Browning made an OU this pretty for a little more reasonable price I'm a sucker for good looking shotguns too Comment from : TheHost |

You need to review a Benelli 828u over under next please Comment from : Joshua Rowinski |
It's a little front end forward, wonder why that iserror maybe the extended chokes on a field gun 🤣also all over and unders should be stiff until you've fired the first few thousand, otherwise the gun will come off the face as it settles in, totally normal and indeed essentialalso due to this you're not quite getting the gun to open the last little bit to get the bottom barrel ejection to work Comment from : Martin Easterman |
I have this same shotgun in 20 & have the 12 ordered I love the gun, but have had the same minor issues It is sticky to break open I hope it loosens everyone tells me it will It has jammed to not break open a couple of times after several shots Not sure if it’s me or the gun After some trying it finally breaks open I really don’t like the look of the front site It looks cheap on a very nice looking gun I want to change it if possible I know it sounds like I’m beating it up but I can do this with every gun I own There are always things that could be a little better Bottom line is I love it even with the few quirks it has so far Comment from : Ted Morgan |
Would like to see a 20ga review of the FAIR field over/under, but if you want to review the Yildiz first I'm cool with that Comment from : teamflanneloutdoors |

Love your videos Steve!brI agree with you 100 on the fiber optic bead I do like the looks of that skeletonized lever and the engraving! I've been waiting to get a beretta 686, would you recommend this one as it's equal? To me it looks prettier but if I'm spending that much on a gun I want it to work 100 of the time! It would be nice to see a second video after it's broken and see if it still has the issues with ejecting and being stiff to openbr I'd love to see you do a review of the weatherby Orion I've been considering that as a budget gun Comment from : Duckhunter |

I have a couple of Franchi Instinct O/U shotguns, 28 and 16 gauges They do loosen up after about 100-150 rounds or so and you don't have to force that last little bit anymore I've never had any ejection issues and the ejection is pretty strong I've never shot the 12 gauge versions thoughbrbrI'm still confused about who makes the guns for Franchi I thought it was FAIR (Fabbrica Armi Isidoro Rizzini), which is part of the Italian Firearms Group, but might be made by Bettinsoli I do know that my guns are imported by Benelli USA, both Benelli and Franchi being owned by Beretta Holdings But there are a bunch of manufacturers, including Beretta, FAIR and Bettinsoli, all located in Brescia, Italy so I may stay confused about it for a while The Franchi Instinct models look mostly identical so some FAIR and Bettinsoli models Comment from : polandaj |
