I wonder if it would be worth it to get the Yamaha kit and replace the rubber tom pads with three Simmons mesh tom pads Total cost would be about $1240 I think they'd be compatible, unsure about the mounting system Comment from : Scott Nellé - Plague Society |

I can't see spending 1000$ on an e kit when if you just spend 500$ more you can get a Roland, as far as every e kit I've tried Roland is the best ,all tester kits in music stores Roland's never break ,alessis always break ,I go to the store and Roland's always work alessis have crap construction broken triggers and don't always register the stick hits ,Roland baby Comment from : DonaldGerbino |
Is there any MIDI problem with the yamaha? Especially with the hihat Hope to see your reply Comment from : Khoa Bùi |

I'm a big dude, 6"3 I really like the Alesis but i play metal with a lot of pedals Probably gonna go with the Roland because of the superior Bass drum Is the Alesis bass drum pad really much worse than the Roland? tia :) Comment from : RangaWithAnEvo |

"biggest set for 1000$" just false brbrI love how you keep ignoring Millenium brbrThe MPS 850 Set (currently available for 600$ RRP from Thomann) has 4 Toms, two 12" two zone crash Cymbals and one 12" 3 Zone ride, an actual hi hat stand with mechanical pedal and a Pair 12" hihat pads , comes also with a basedrum pedal and a pair of sticksbrbrI dont care if Millenium isnt shipped to the country of made up freedom, your audience certainly isnt exclusively from Biden County Comment from : xXRunDeathXx |
I bought the Roland TD-07KV I love it honestly I bought another crash cymbal for it too , it was needed But you are right, not having the bell sound kinda sucks but the overall sound is impressive Comment from : Ad Rose |

So if I wanted to combine just the module high hat and kick pedals with a pad controller for finger drumming so I could operate the snare, toms and symbols with my fingers, (so that I could trigger superior drummer three sounds) what would be the best set up? Comment from : Lance Tamplin |
IMHO, from these Yamaha is the best due to module + functionality Comment from : Essenter |
I believe this sealed the deal on me getting a Yamaha DTX6K-X Comment from : Nick Macik |

I was thinking about buying the alesis dm10 mk2 pro kit Does anyone know how good it is? Comment from : Matthew Hernandez |
On the Alesis SE Crimson ---- is there any way to upgrade the internal sounds thru the module?? Thanks for the excellent video Comment from : Jim McCarthy |
I NEED HELP ☑️✅ I just saw the alesis crimson ll Se for $600 brand new or should I buy a Roland TD-07 for like $800 all I just want is decent sound but a large kit 🥁 Comment from : Seb Joe |
Hey I was wondering I am having a tight budget and I need an upgrade from my Simmons sd350 and I've been looking at the Roland td17 That is currently out of my budget, so should I wait till I can buy it or buy a td07 instead? Comment from : Kade Haas |
Would love to get your take on the latest Alesis DM10 mkii Pro kit at $1,299 By the way, aren't we do for some new offerings by Alesis by now? Seems most of the kits are about 3 years old now except for the Strike refresh I'm just concerned I'll finally have saved up for one, and the next model will come out right after I buy it Thanks for putting out these killer videos!!! Comment from : RADER FPV |
How would the ATV EXS-2 compare to the Alesis Crimson II SE? It may be a bit over 1000$ but my budget is 1000€ where it fits in Is the price the reason for the kit not being on this list? Or would you not recommend the ATV at all? Comment from : der2te |
I found that the Roland 6 inch mesh are just too small The 8 inch is the bare minimum for the snare, I made it work but the 6 inch toms were just too small, I kept hitting the white inner ring Comment from : 99 Sean Walsh |
I was thinking that maybe it is possible to connect the roland PD-9 hihat pedal to a hihat stand It would be an upgrade to the Roland KV model, having a real hihat feel at a cheap price Just connecting the chain to the pedal using the pedal sensor
br
brDo you think this is possible? It would serve a lot of people who have this model
br
brGreetings from Chile! Comment from : Ignacio Lama |

Hi! What do you think of this one: youtube/00QhVIvJ-V4 Comment from : Marco-2013-T |
Hey man I’m wanting to start recording with my iPhone for simplicity I have an irig hd2 so I can get half decent audio with it and record up to 4k60 with my iPhonebrWhat do you recommend for holding the phone? Just a really tall tripod? I’m still trying to figure out angle I feel like overhead angle makes the most sense? Comment from : Mista Pinion |
Hi, can you make a video about what are the best drum sets for midi purpose only? Comment from : Snikkelbek |
Wow!!! You audio sound is great!!! Comment from : Big Papi |
Best electric drum channel on youtube! I am also a tall guy and would like to know if I should be more worried about the size of the kit than the sounds? I have a home studio with an audio interface and I will mostly be using my electric kit as a midi controller with sounds from EZdrummer I really like Roland kits but the kits in my price range might be too small I will have to play the kits before really figuring out what I should buy I play guitar, bass (my main instrument and most professional sound), keys, and also sing so I want to have a drum set that will give me the freedom of total creativity Comment from : Jordan Anderson |
One thing that concerns me is that you don't comment on cymbal quality I'm just concerned that Alesis still uses medeli cymbals, because after replacing 5 cymbals over the course of 4 years I really do not want to bother with those any more I otherwise enjoyed the hell out of my command kit (and it is otherwise still going as of this post) and don't have the budget for roland kits (they're more expensive here for some reason) brbrIt's great to see a new 1k roundup video, and I hope you review your older videos down the line when new options show up Thanks Justin, keep up the good work mate Comment from : Mephiston |
I own a Crimson II SE and it has a serious misalignment issue Many pads won't be active depending on whether connected to Garageband or other DAW Can you provide an easy solution for that? Comment from : Soutik Ghosal |
Lol I JUST bought the milllenium MPS 850, mainly cuz literally NONE of these kits are available in mu country Otherwise I prolly would have gon with the Alesis Crimson II But DAMN man the mps 850 is HUGE, and the module has individual faders and everything, and best of all it costs almost half of all these kits lol Comment from : Raps |
